All the documents have been accepted, fees have been paid, we initially applied over a year ago and now after inquiring about the status of our case this is what we have received:::

Any info on how long NOW we have to wait for the interview in Manila ?

To Whom it Concerns:

This case is documentarily complete, which means the NVC has all the documents we requested. Your application is waiting for an interview appointment, where a consular officer will adjudicate it.

The U.S. Embassy or Consulate provides the National Visa Center (NVC) with a list of available appointment dates and times. We will schedule your case for an interview appointment when an appointment date is available. We schedule appointments on a first in, first out basis. After we schedule your appointment, we will forward your case to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate General in MANILA

We cannot predict how long it will take to schedule your appointment, but we will notify the applicant, the petitioner, and your attorney (if applicable) when an appointment is scheduled. Your case will stay at NVC until that time.

For the most up-to-date information about the operating status of the U.S. Embassy or Consulate, please visit their website at https://usembassy.gov.

Information about preparing for interview appointments is available at these website

I will try and be brief. My Philippine Wife was denied a tourist visa 2 years ago, reason: we are both Geodetic Engineers-Manila Embassy. Got Married filed I-130 Spousal 6/2023. My progress, like many, went down to 1 week 3 separate times, then jumped to months, then "your case is taking longer" for 4 months.

At the year mark, one week ago, I was called in for Biometrics, at that time our "my progress" went to 3 months, three days later it went to 19 months. Has anybody else experienced this? I am very close to relocating to the Philippines, since I am blessed to be able to travel to the Philippines often and we now have a beautiful home there, but I really wanted for her to experience America and meet my family, but this disabled Veteran is losing all hope with the US immigration system.

One month in the US, my newlywed wife is homesick and bored :(

Meetup is useless, Seattle Filipino Community center looks to have only yoga classes, filipino Facebook groups are just selling stuff and posting videos.

Tried to push her to some activities too hard and got a tampo.

How did your filipina survived the first few months in a completely new environment?

PS. They recently opened a Jollibee in Seattle!

Filing the I-130 is pretty straight forward but I was trying to figure out what evidence I needed to add beyond what they are asking for. It asks for our marriage cert, his BC, DC from father but not much else. What other additional evidence do I need to add to show he is my stepson to send the petition in?

Early Exit From The Philippines -- Citizenship Interview Passed

The boss had her citizenship interview today. She passed easily. We had to fly back early from the Philippines for it but it was worth it to almost be done with USCIS for good. Already received the update that the oath ceremony will be scheduled. We received notification of the interview while in the Philippines for her father's funeral. We were torn between rescheduling and returning early. In the end we feel we made the right decision as you have no control of the rescheduled interview date.
