Hello, I am preparing to file a petition for my girlfriend. I have been through the process twice in the distant past, once for a K1, once for a CR1. I filed these my myself, in 2004 and 2010 respectively. Both succeeded. I am up to date on the processing times, particularly the insane situation with the CR1s. I am turning over in my mind which path to choose. I am visiting her this week for 15 days - we previously spent 7 weeks together last year, and will spend another 16 day together at Christmas and New Year. We would either file fiancee upon after I return from my visit, or marry via Utah virtually during my visit. If it makes a difference, I have multiple previous marriages: the last, which was the CR1 visa, lasted 14 years. Also, if it makes a difference, I am 57, Krissy will turn 21 during my visit. Any thoughts or advice would be gratefully accepted. Thanks, Jon

Good day all, Wife recieved an I-797 today notifiying her that her removal of conditions was approved. (years late, but whatever). The new green card is to show up within 60 days. The point that was concerning is the paragraph: "You should not travel outside the United States until you receive your new Green Card, as y ou may have difficulty reentering the United States". She already has a trip planned in July to South Korea (with a Visa). Why will her current green-card / extension letter not work? Do I need to tell her to give up the planned trip? Thanks in advance, Ellis

I hope someone can answer this question. My Filipina wife and I applied for a CR-1 visa in the Philippines. From the time I sent in the I-130 to now, it s been a total of 18 months. It took one year for the I-130 to be approved by the USCIS, and now it has been 7 months since the NVC approved the application and all of the subsequent documents. We re still waiting for the appointment time for the interview. Does anyone know what the current wait time is at the US Embassy in Manila for the interview for the CR-1? Thank you!

Accidental Errors Found on Introductory Letter in I-130 Packet Submitted |

Greetings, I couldn't find any related topics to my question, so hopefully someone can help me. So, I recently submitted our I-130 application packet to USCIS and we each submitted an introduction letter (per our legal consultant) stating who we are, what we both want, and why from the USCIS VISA process and signed/dated it. Unfortunately, I didn't catch this error until today, but our legal consultant's secretary accidentally sent my husband the incorrect template that had the header stating in error, "In Connection to Our I-129F" instead of "In Connection to Our I-130". My letter, of course, had the correct header but his did not. Also, when I was browsing my USCIS online account today, I noticed that those two documents were scanned and uploaded to the Documents section. I'm not sure what that means when they upload supporting documents that I submitted with the I-130 application packet, but hopefully someone can tell me why. My main question is, will this pose an issue with the possibility of an RFE to resubmit a corrected one, or will they pardon it... or should I upload a scanned letter attached to an amended version or just wait? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!
