US Immigration from Peru

Hi, i just filed a couple of weeks ago for AOS along with AP and EAD. I am not worried about receiving noa 1 as I know it could take a month but im also planning my wedding in my home country in april 2020 but im worried i might not receive AP by then. Has anyone had any experience expediting their process for AP? or left the US without the AP in hand? Since my husband will be going only for a few days for the wedding and some weeks later than the date I plan on leaving I thought he could bring me the AP in case it arrives while im gone so I would still having upon return. Considering it will be 6 months after i filed.

I know theres no way on knowing when I will receive it considering process timelines are increasing lately from what I read but just wanted to know if anyone had a similar experience. I am considering moving the wedding for May so I at least have an extra month.

Good morning. Yesterday my fiance (The petitioner) got a mail from IRS saying that his taxes from 2016 were audited and that he should pay about 300$. He showed it to me and they make it look like he didn't estimate correctly his income for that year.

I suggested he call the company he hired to declare his taxes for that year and ask them why he got that debt (because he thinks he declared everything) . I am worried that if they commited some mistake for that year they could have possible do it for thw following years too?

Also my fiance thinks that this could affect us in our K1 visa process - "Affidavit of support" (maybe at the interview if not before).

I was wondering what would be the best he can do in this case? Maybe just pay what he was asked to pay? should we consider something else?

I am on the NVC stage for both of my parents; I just submitted all the required forms. I want to know information about the biometrics. When do I get information on where they have to get those done? Are these done before the interview or after?

Hello! I m from Peru, when I got married I changed my last name but I haven t go back to my country yet. I want to go back to my country as soon as I get my green card but I my passport still has my old last name. I was wondering if I can still use it to go back to my country or I have to change it? Is it important to change it now? Since I have all my visas with that passport do I need to get all done again?

Hello! I've been reading posts about "change of address" but I didn't find something accurate to my case. I'm still in a k1 visa process.
My fiance is going to move to another apartment where we are going to live together as soon as I arrive. We are filling the documents where he is still staying because we are in a apartment hunting yet.
So my question goes, once we move to our apartment, my fiance has to call USCIS and update the change of address? do i have to do someting else?
