Is the K1 Visa an immigrant or Nonimmigrant visa? They say differently everywhere you look and it's driving me nuts. Make up your mind people! Haha, but seriously. Anybody know? Also, we filled out the DS-160, for a nonimmigrant, so now we are a bit confused. And they say to pay the fees and fill out the other forms, but where are they? When I go to CEAC, it just says to fill out the DS-160. Our case was approved by the USCIS on March 26th, and we had to call the NVC to get the case number and invoice, we never received the welcome letter which I'm assuming is cause the embassy is still closed. Peru embassy, anyone know when that might open?

A little background: my wife is Peruvian, I am American, we got married in Peru, and we live in Argentina. She doesn't have any type of visa to the US and has, in fact, never been there. I got a credit card issued with her name under my account, but so far I've had no luck finding a bank that will let me put her name on my checking account without a social security number or some kind of other type of US identification. Does anyone have any ideas about other ways to tie together finances to show in our I-130 application? We don't have cars, and the only other thing we have is receipts from renting an apartment. Thanks

We're just beginning this process, and our marriage was far from conventional, so I'm a little concerned about the visa process even though we've been married for over a year and have a ton of photos and tickets of us traveling together. We're getting statements from some of her family members, but like I said, our marriage was not conventional so her family wasn't really involved. I'm wondering, will they want to talk to her family members in validating whether or not our marriage is bona fide? Thanks!

Hello everybody. Has anyone sent this form lastly or will do in the next couple of weeks? Has anyone stopped working during the last couple of months (I mean since the pandemic started) What are you sending attached to your I-864 form (Affidavit of Support)? Because I have read that I need to send the paystubs of "THE LAST 6 MONTHS" and an employee letter as well. My husband and I haven't worked for over 3 months. We don't know either when we will be called to return. Have you experienced the same issues filling out that form? We are supposed to send our documents the first week of August and we don't have any current paychecks
