My wife and I had our AOS (K-1) interview November 1st. My wife is the one adjusting status. The interviewer was nice but serious. She only asked how we met and then ran through for I-485 with us. It went well beside when she questioned us about our different mailing address and our home address. I started rambling and my wife had to clarify our address and mailing address to the interviewer. so I ve been freaking out. Anyway, she didn t ask us for any additional documents. Our interview lasted about 10-15 minutes. She then said that we will have an answer within 30-60 days. That was it. We are still waiting and I m still stressing out but I also may just be in my head. Anyone have their AOS interview in Philly? I was wondering how all of your interviews went and how long it took to get an answer back?

My wife is from Panama. We got married on the K-1 visa. After we filed for AOS. We went to our green card interview yesterday in Philadelphia. We waited 2 hours and then they called us in. The lady was really nice and laid back. She really didn t ask us any questions or request anything like photos or phone bills or joint bank accounts. She asked us about how we met and how s it been going. Then she asked my wife what s my name, our address, her parents name. She then asked about if she had her visa that she originally came here on which was a j visa before we applied for the K-1 visa. She didn t have that on her. So the lady just told us to email her that when got home to make sure she was in compliance with that visa. That was the end of our interview. It was 5 maybe 10 minutes long. She didn t say anything to us except have a good day. We got home and emailed what she asked for. She emailed back that day and said you are good with that too. Thanks. I ll give you my decision in 30-60 days . My wife and I were pretty disappointed that we didn t get an answer right then and there given we heard stories of people getting an approval right at the interview. Is this normal that they don t give you an answer right then and there or should we be worried?

Hello, It's been a while since I was on here. Hubby submitted his application for N400 (online) in March 2020....yes, you read that right in 2020, thanks to COVID it is now outside the normal processing time. He requested a status update and he was told he'll hear back by Sept 29......lo and behold we heard nothing... we managed to speak to a live person when we called 800-375-5283, and they told us to wait, and that there is nothing she can tell us at this time. The only thing we have received in the mail was back in January 2021, stating that he didn't need updated biometrics (we've traveled quite a bit since he got his GC in 2009),and they were going to use what they had in the system but of course they weren't going to refund us the biometrics fee I believe his case is at the NBC, but I can't seem to find the phone number for that. Would anyone here happen to have it? Also, anyone else having the same experience and have any advice of what we can do while we wait? Thankfully hubby's GC doesn't expire until Oct 2022, but it's a little disheartening seeing ppl who applied waaaaay after us getting interviews by the end of this year. Any and all advice is appreciated thanks! -Michelle

Hello all, So our K-1 Visa process has been difficult so far. NOA1 April 2020. Received our NOA2 in March 2021. In April 2021 our case was returned to the USCIS by the Dept of State. On July 6th 2021 our case was finally forwarded to the embassy in Panama by the NVC. We received our welcome package from the Panama Embassy and we were preparing our documents/scheduling an interview date. On July 15th 2021 we were informed our case was requested back by the NVC. Called the NVC and was told that the case was requested to be returned by the USCIS. I have requested to speak to a Tier 2 officer at the USCIS but am still awaiting a call back (deadline August 30th 2021). I spoke with the NVC today (August 16th 2021) and was told they still have our case and that it is undergoing "Administrative Processing" before it will likely be returned to the USCIS. Is any of this normal? What can we expect at this point? Our NOA2 has already expired, is that going to be an issue? Anything we can do at this point? Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. Feeling like we are getting nowhere. It is always one step forward, several steps back
