Hi, I am planning to file for Spouse visa for my wife who is from Pakistan. I know the visa process take long. I was thinking to bring my wife first to Mexico through temporary residency (I already got my temporary residency visa and will soon file for her) so we can live tighter until her US immigrations process is completed. I work remotely so I can work from anywhere, so I was thinking to work from Mexico while her visa is still in progress. The question can I start spouse visa process while she lives in Mexico and once, she gets to the interview stage can she has her interview in Mexico or she would have to fly back to Pakistan.

Hi All, I had a irregular marriage in the past (my divorce was not finalized) which I annulled through the court order in Pakistan. And then I registered my marriage again which is valid and regular now. On the base of new marriage, I applied for I-130 for my spouse, which got accepted, Now Dqed waiting for Interview letter. My question to you is do I need to have a Annulment certificate of my marriage for the interview? Pakistani Authorities don t issue such certificates. Any Idea or someone has any experience then please share. Thanks

Hey VJ Family, I need urgent help! I have 2 important questions to ask, my interview is on coming February 2nd. 1. I and my husband got married back in 2018 and he applied for my case, they asked for the required documents my husband sent all the ORIGINAL marriage documents to NVC. Nikah Nama (Mine and his), Nadra Marriage Certificate and true translation. I've managed to get the True Translation and Nadra Marriage, certificate duplicates but I don't have the Nikah Nama, I do have a scanned copy of that. Anyone here has gone through the same pls help! 2. I used my FRC (Family Registration Certificate) instead of my Birth Certificate at CEAC portal and they accepted it. I want to use my FRC at the time of the interview too, can I? I'm attaching a screenshot where ceac says the alternative document for a birth certificate is FRC. Urgent help will be much appreciated, I'm really worried.

Hi, This is my first post in this group. I am a Canadian permanent resident and my wife is a US citizen. She is intending to apply I-130 petition for me. However, I have a US visit visa interview scheduled for 25th April 2023. Shall we wait for the visit visa interview to be done and then apply for an I-130 petition after getting my visit visa or shall we apply for an I-130 petition and then complete my visit visa interview? Please suggest. Please note that when I completed my DS-160 we were not married and my DS-160 application was submitted as a single (martial status).

Hi all, currently gathering the required documents for the NVC processing phase. My question is regarding the income requirements for the I-864 supporting documents. My current income is well above the minimum requirement listed. My last year (2021) tax return reported income is also over the minimum requirement. However, the previous 2 years before (2020 and 2019) are below the minimum requirement, will this in any way affect visa approval for my spouse? Also, on my last year tax return I had filed as single since my wife is not here and my employer suggested to leave it as single. Will this raise any red flags during the processing phase or later during the interview?
