I-864: Joint Sponsor vs Household member |

My question is concerning some confusion I have about Joint Sponsor vs Household member. The petitioner for the immigration case does not have enough income to support the intending immigrants (principal immigrant and his children), so it has been decided that petitioner will need a joint sponsor. We originally decided that the petitioner's daughter will act as a Joint Sponsor so we are assuming that she will fill out another I-864. However, she lives in the same house as petitioner and therefore qualifies to be a household member also (I-864A). In this case, what is the better approach to take? Should she continue as a Joint Sponsor or be indicated on Petitioners I-864 as household member and submit a separate I-864A? Thanks.

I-864 - Retired Petitioner |

Hello. My questions are regarding a petitioner who is retired and is sponsoring his immigrant child. In the form I-864, does the petitioner need to report "current individual annual income" if he is retired? He does get retirement income, so does he have to indicate that amount? He has a form - SSA-1099-SM, which has a total net benefit amount. He also has a 1099R, which has gross distribution and taxable amount? Which of these amounts should I use? I am assuming I have to add up the values from the SSA-1099-SM and 1099R to indicate what his annual income is. Is this correct? Can someone advise me on this? What other documentation does he have to include other than tax returns, and the two tax forms I mentioned above to indicate his retirement status? My other question is concerning some confusion I have about Joint Sponsor vs Household member. Petitioner's daughter will act as a Joint Sponsor so we are assuming that she will fill out another I-864. However, she lives in the same house as petitioner and therefore qualifies to be a household member also (I-864A). In this case, what is the better approach to take? Should she continue as a Joint Sponsor or be indicated on Petitioners I-864 as household member and submit a separate I-864A? Thanks.

Hello all. I am newcomer to these forums and I've been reading quite extensively and as thoroughly as I can on the K1 process. I am a USC who is currently in a long distance relationship with a girl from Oman and are ready to take the next steps. We haven't had a first meeting yet due to these traveling restrictions from covid, but are hopefully planning to make a trip to see each other as soon as tourism opens up. My question is regarding gathering sufficient proof of our relationship as required by the K1 process. So far we have tons of chat conversations everyday through the dating app that we initially met through, Skype, and WhatsApp conversations also. We talk and video call when we can based on our schedules as well. We've sent each other gifts, and we have receipts of those too. For those of who have submitted and received approval for your K1 application, would you share with me what you have provided to show proof of relationship? I know that the guide mentions to include travel itineraries, flight details, passport stamps, etc. I'm confused about what kind of photos would be suitable and how many? Also, for chat conversations, do we just take screenshots and print them out in color? What else should I be mindful of? Appreciate the help. Thanks!

Hello Guy, I found this, incase you need to know if you can extend your expired immigrant Visa. The answer is no, but it can be reissued. You will need a new medicals because your current medical is valid for 6months and submit a new visa fee. My question is, if its reissued, will it be for another 6 months?
