US Immigration from Nigeria

Hello there,

I finally got my wife and daughter to the US, I paid the greencard fees before they arrived and used my new address, i also setup mail forwarding with USPS to have all mails addressed to me forwarded to my new address

unfortunately, USCIS mailed my wife's greencard to the old address and from conversations with a USCIS representative, it was address to my wife so it skipped USPS' mail forwarding.

there are 4 residents in the house so it is difficult to track how it got missing.

I applied for a new card for my wife because i was told by the USCIS representative did not see a status on my daughter's receipt number indicating that her card has been sent to production.

tomorrow makes it a month and my daughter's status is still showing "Immigrant Visa Fee Payment Received" while my wife's status shows "Card Was Delivered"

My question: Could it be that because my daughter is a derivative of the wife's F2A petition(i filed a single petition), that the green card was produced and mailed together while my daughter's status was not updated on the system?

do we have anyone with on this platform who has more than one family member's green card mailed in the past?

Were they mailed together or separately?

Did you file just one petition like mine with other family members as derivative of the application or did you file separately

i have also updated USCIS address forwarding for both of them just in case

I have been to the USCIS website though bit still needs some clarifications.

1) Please can I use any money order or must be from the bank?

Also the fee I saw were $535 and $1,225 and both payable to U.S Department of Homeland Security.

2) Am I suppose to write anything else on the money order?

3) Are these the only fees required?

I just want to make sure they're not going to give my mom an issue. The Nigerian ban came a month after she already got her visa but it is the Chicago airport she will be arriving from and those guys are ####### from what I've experienced and seen. They have one of the lowest customer ratings in the country.

My mom is going from Lagos to Addid Ababa and then to Chicago then to Minneapolis. I've checked OHare and it seems flights from Addis Ababa are landing and coming in from Ethiopian airlines.

Any one know anything I should know? Her flight is on June 2and.

I am confused and stuck on this question,

"At which USCIS office will the beneficiary apply for adjustment of status to lawful permanent resident?"

What exactly does that mean? Is it asking about an office in the states or Nigeria? If it's in the state, what are the best options?

So I am currently filling out the online application to have my husband come over... hopefully. But I am currently stuck on the employment section for him. He is self employed, a driver actually, like uber or taxi. He doesn't drive for a specific company. Will him being self employed mess up our chance of the first step being approved? Will they ask for taxes on his part or documents showing proof of employment?
