N600 Status Update Request for Initial Evidence? (merged)

We filed in March of 2019 for my brother's citizenship certificate, and the last activity was of June 2019, when he went for his bio-metrics. By July, 2019, it said case is being actively reviewed and was stuck on that status until today.
When I checked it says "Request for Initial Evidence was sent".

My concern is, why "INITIAL" evidence? If it was further evidence, I wouldn't be as concerned but I don't understand why it says initial evidence after we sent them everything last year and they even sent my Father's passport back.

He also went for his biometrics.

Initial evidence is usually all of the things you send when you first send your application. Did they misplace our files?

I'm really concerned about this! It's been a year! And the Minneapolis office opened this week, and I'm guessing they only did something because we sent an inquiry through Amy Klobachar's office!

We submitted our AOS packet in September 2019 Dallas service center, I have gotten my EAD and AP but my AOS has been in case is ready to be scheduled for an interview since nov 3 2019. Apart from the AR11 do we have to submit any other forms for change of address? Does my wife have to submit 1865 (sponsor change of address) ? Thank you

I-864 Bar Code & Other Questions [split topic]

Thanks for not asking an unimportant question. You are the primary sponsor and will complete your own I-864. Because you show not self employment on a tax return yet, your current income is zero. Dad is the only joint sponsor, completing an I-864. Mom is his household member and completes an I-864a whether she has income or not.

Then, there is the issue of Dad's household size. If you filed your own tax return in 2019, it makes no sense you are your parent's dependent on their tax return for 2019. If were not claimed in 2019 then you are not part of your parents' household size, even if the expect to claim you for 2020. 2020 tax returns are filed in 2021. Perhaps that's a point of confusion. Please clarify.

@pushbrk I have submitted the I-864 twice and it was rejected right now the third time it is just showing submitted. I hope I finally got the upload and compress correct. It was under 2.0 MB as stated. I noticed mention of bar code on new forms, I did not see them on my forms when I printed them out. Is this code necessary? I printed them out and filled them out manually. Also, after all forms and documents are accepted, will they contact us or will we have to contact them? What is the next step? Thanks as always for your help.

What is DS-160 for? I filed for K1 visa

Hello,

I am a US citizen and my Fianc is in Nigeria. The USCIS sent their approval and forwarded the approval to NVC. I have not received an email or mail from NVC since the application has been approved by USCIS April 24th.

I called the NVC to check if they emailed or mailed me something and was told they have not but I was provided my case# and invoice #

So here is where I am confused: When I checked for the status online on CEAC website, i received this message once I entered the case # and invoice #

K visas are nonimmigrant visas that assist spouses or future spouses of American citizens in entering the United States. As with all nonimmigrant visa applicants, a DS-160 must be filled out in order for a consular section to process the case

What is this for?

When I enter the case number it is listed under immigrant status then this message - so confusing. Help!

Please guide me on this process.

Thank you,

Marie
