Hello fellow VJ members July 27 of this year will make it 2 years since we filed for CR1. We have make several contacts with USCIS we have continuously told that they are working on it. This is what we have been see on their site time and time again after any contact with them

We are a family of 5, my hubby (USC), myself (Beneficiary) and my 3 kids from previous marriage (3 kids are USC). We are getting a co-sponsor. Our co-sponsor is divorced, he has a daughter he is responsible for.

1.) How will the household size be calculated when the sponsor is filling the I-864 form? Will my USC husband be added to the sponsor's household size or just my kids and I?

2.) If I have an asset in my country, will i be required in the U.S. to pay tax on that asset even if the asset does not generate money for me?

3.) What is the best USPS envelop or box to use, going by the volume of documents we are submitting? (I saw different USPS priority mail envelops and boxes online that i can order)

Hello everyone who is reading this ,

I have tried not to post much on this forum because with the frustration of filing in June 2019 finally getting word that my case was transferred last month , I really do not need the negativity that I ve seen so many be subjected to. I also called USCIS today June 10, 2020 not only did the officer hang up in my face after I asked what date was my file assigned to a officer I still have no dates, rhyme, or reason as to why it seems our case is being shuffled within the bureaucracy. My lawyer hasn t ever handled immigration from Africa I m just at a loss. It s seems there are so many factors even after we get approved that will affect my husband being here . All I did was fall in love now it seems USCIS is our ultimate judge and jury. I know someone out there will relate if you don t that s ok to. If you are new to this forum don t get discouraged. I wish I had a more positive aspect like others I read about but that s simply not the case. It s hard to explain to my husband that just because it s America doesn t mean it s what you see on T.V. It s not that easy for some of us. Good luck to you all and God Bless
