Domicile - Proving living abroad temporarily

Hello there, I had a question about proving I was living abroad temporarily for the domicile requirement for the I-864. I'm a good bit away from the NVC stage (Filed I-130 for CR-1 visa back in Nov), but want to make sure I have everything ready. I moved to the Netherlands to be with my husband 2 years ago, and we decided to stay until he finishes his schooling, and then move to the US. Currently I don't have a home of my own in California, but we had planned to stay with my family there for a few months until we find a place of our own.

Here's the current proof I planned to give them:

* My cars and motorbikes are registered and stored at my parent's house

* Renewed my California drivers license - address is registered as my parent's house as well

* Voted in 2020 California primary

* Filed taxes in California for year 2018

* Kept my debit account open at my parent's address, use it occasionally for sending things to family in the US

* Permanent employment offer from same company I am currently working for, but at their US branch

* Letter from my parent's to say we will be staying at their home

Will this be enough to prove I was only gone temporarily to satisfy the I-864 domicile requirements? Thanks very much for your help!

K1 visa, is selling art considered working?

Hi everybody, I was wondering if selling art pieces and having exhibitions in galleries is considered working. Some shops in the town I'm moving to want to sell prints of my artwork and a gallery wants to exhibit my paintings. Since I'm not allowed to work on a K1-visa I wonder if I have to wait with this until I have my work permit (EAD). And if this is considered working, will I also have to close my Etsy account? Just so I know what I can and cannot do once I move :-)

Hello , i hope someone can help us with the following.

I am a LPR since 5 years.

Married the love of my life in 2012. My US spouse lived with me in the Netherlands from 2010 till we immigrated to the States in 2014.

I have a 16 year old child from a previous marriage and he spends his 6 weeks summer vacations with us here in the States. he talks about that he wants to immigrate to the States to stay with us permanently.

Now im looking into this matter and i could really use some help !

Should i (permanent resident) or should my US citizen spouse

File for the petition I-130 ?

I know my wife can petition for my son as her stepchild.

Is the process faster if my US wife files?

When either of us file , should we file online through myuscis.com or paper file ?

Opening a bank account (while on K1)

I'm currently in the US on a K-1 and I just received my SSN, haven't filed for AOS and haven't married the US Citizen yet.

I opened a checking account with Discover, I was able to do that online with help from their customer service on the phone. They told me I had to fill in a W-9 even if not all of its conditions applied to me. When I informed at PNC bank, they told me that to open a checking account with them, I'd have to fill in a W-8. Can somebody please explain to me what those documents are and what am I supposed to do?

Hi,

I filed my form N-400 last October and had my biometrics appointment in November. The Estimated Case Completion Time on my USCIS account says November 2020 which was December 2020 initially. So it is moving up, which is great.

It seems I will be traveling out of the U.S. during the last week of September. I am worried about my interview date moving closer over the next couple of months, as I don t want to miss it.

Can I let USCIS know that I won t be available from date X to date Y?

Thank you very much in advance for your kind response.
