Hey there! Not sure if anyone is in a similar situation. My fiance is in the UK with his parents. I saw on June 8th (from what I can understand), the UK is allowing citizens and international visitors, but with a mandatory 14 day quarantine. Is anyone planning on going to the UK? I was wondering if I could go for at least a week (I don't think HAVE to stay in the country for two weeks right? or are you required to be there for a certain length of time to even be able to enter?), quarantine with him and his family and the of course have to come back to the US and do another quarantine. Desperate times! LMK your thoughts.

NVC did not receive approved EB2-NIW from USCIS after 18 months. What else can I do?

My EB2-NIW case was approved in December 2018 and I received the approval notice, but NVC never received it to continue with consular processing despite the submitted and approved I-140 for my case included the request for consular processing (I am abroad US). It has been over 18 months and NVC has not received the case. (USCIS seems to have lost my file). I need ideas/advice on options to get my case to NVC.

Background and what I ve done so far:

- Case approved Dec 2018.

- Multiple Inquiries to NVC (apr to sep 2019). NVC claimed they never received the file.

- After NVC contacted USCIS they asked me to file a duplicate petition

- Duplicate filed in October 2019 per their guidance, but no receipt received.

- Jan to Apr 2020: Multiple inquiries and calls to USCIS without success. Last inquiry suggested submitting a form I824 (6 to 12 month processing time!) as if I was requesting a change to consular processing (but the original submission already requested it)

- March 2020: submitted claim to DHS ombudsman. Case was received but no progress yet.

Any ideas what else I can do?! Any similar experiences?

Is it right to move soon?

Hi, my name is Chris, I live with my American wife in Holland.

USCIS approved our case very quickly and we are ready to start the NVC process.

My wife is a bit concerned about moving now.

We would like to move to her hometown, Austin, TX.

I am a software engineer and for sure I would have no problem to find a job, while she would like to be back being a teacher or working in the NGO field.

Our concern is more about the health insurance until I find a job.

Sure the economy now is not the best after the Corona virus.

Do you think we should move soon or wait to file the documents and move around Spring 2021?

Thanks
