US Immigration from Netherlands

Tonight I received an update per email from USCIS saying my I485 is ready for an interview. I m going to gather all documents tomorrow to be up front since I don t have an EAD yet so nothing better to do.

I wasn t very smart with submitting the whole AOS package since I forgot to make copies. I did save all the forms with information on my MacBook and also the attachments but I might have forgotten a few things. More so the things like supporting documents for the I944 (I believe this is not necessary for now).

My question is, did they look at your whole package or just the I485? I know I have to show that we have health insurance together, bank account, car insurance and those things. Does it matter if I would make a screenshot from our health and car insurance website for example? How was your interview? I m not worried about our bonafide marriage or answering questions but more documents and just wanting peoples experience!

I filed for AOS on June 22nd and my package was delivered on July 2nd. However, no money has been taken out of our account yet, even though we included a check with payment for AOS and biometrics. Is it taking this long because of the current COVID situation or could something be wrong?

I was wondering if anybody has an answer to this - while waiting for my AP&EAD&Green card, can I donate blood/plasma and receive compensation for that? Or is this not allowed?

The United States Consulate General in Amsterdam is resuming limited visa services. As of July 15, we are processing limited visa categories including immigrant visas (IR-1, IR-2, CR1, CR-2) and non-immigrant visas (C1/D, E, F-1/F-2, certain J-1/J-2, M-1/M-2, and certain petition-based visa categories). While the Consulate aims to process cases as soon as practicable, there is likely to be increased wait times for completing such services due to substantial backlogs. The MRV fee is valid and may be used to schedule an interview appointment in the country where it was purchased within one year of the date of payment.

My N-400 application for citizenship interview was scheduled for April 14 but got cancelled. I understood that the field office in Houston (Gear Rd) would reopen on June 4th. I have not received a new invitation. Does anyone know whether the field office is open? Are they sending invitations for interview? Anyone here that had a de-scheduled interview that has heard anything about a new date?
