Hello VisaJourney! I am the beneficiary of a spousal visa, and we're currently at the NVC stage (not yet documentarily qualified but hopefully soon). I want to change jobs to one that is better paying... is that OK to do at NVC stage!? Will we need to re-do any of the paperwork or does that put our case in a problematic state!? Thank you!!!

Good afternoon, My now wife came over on her K-1 visa back on early July, we ended up getting married in late August. We are now filing the AOS paperwork and had a few questions regarding the payment. I understand that the I-485 is $1,140 and Biometrics is $85 bringing the total to $1,225. We are also wanted to file for her employment with the I-765 and her ability to travel with the I-131. We are planning on submitting all of these documents together. When using the fee calculator on USCIS website (https://www.uscis.gov/feecalculator), when I look at the I-765 it shows an option where you pay $0 and an option where you pay $410. Which would I be using if I were to file altogether? I am also seeing something similar with the I-131. The question that changes the outcome is "Did you pay the I-485 required application fee?" if I mark Yes, it shows I need to pay $0. If I mark no, it shows I need to pay $575. If I were to file all of these documents together, would I need to pay $1,225 for it all? Or $1,225 + $410 + $575 = $2,210. If I do pay the full amount of $2,210 - do I just include one check for the full amount or would I have 3 separate checks, 1 for each document? Thank you! Stephen

Dear everyone, Last month I have filed for AOS and received I-797c and a interview date for my biometrics. In the meantime I have been bussy arranging my Arkansas driver's license. My written and skills test have been succesfully completed. But today I went to the revenue office and they only gave me a driver's license until the current expiration of my I-94, which is based on my K1 entry (until the 28th of October). They said I needed a I-797A or I-797B. I cannot find any information about how to obtain these documents. Does anyone have any idea? Is it normal to receive a I-797A or B later in the process? Will the status on I-94 change automatically later on, when i ring it up at the DHS? I'm pretty confused, any help is appreciated.

Hello everyone! The past weekend my UC wife and I submitted the I-130 and I-130a form after getting married two weeks ago. I have two questions 1. My wife is excited/keen to take my lastname. Would it be advised to wait till after the entire visa process to change her last name - or could we do so already, while the I-130 is pending? 2. My wife currently lives with her sister, but is planning on moving out at the end of the year, while her sister will stay living at that place. Does she need to inform USCIS as the stage she moves? All mail received after her move will of course be kept by her sister to come and collect (she will be living pretty much around the corner) Thank you!

Hello everyone, I have some questions: my husband and I applied in august for the I130/CR1 spousal visa and next friday I am travelling to the US from the Netherlands to visit him and go to a family marriage. 1) I have already an approved esta that expires 2 weeks after my return from the US. I applied before we were married. will it be a problem that is expiring soon or is it ok?If in the meantime we got married and applied for the spouse visa, is the current esta still valid or should apply for a new one? 2)Because of the travel ban I am bringing with me a copy of my husband birth certificate /passport to show that he is a US citizen and also our marriage certificate. Is this sufficient or what other documents do I need to bring with me? 3) I have a return ticket after 2 weeks but in addition I asked my employer for a letter stating that I am an employee at the company in the Netherlands and that I have a permanent contract, because I thought it is good to prove that I will return to the Netherlands. what else should be stated in the letter? what other proof can you advise me to bring to prove that I will not stay? thank you in advance Ambra & Dillon
