Legalizing undocumented juvenile immigrant |

I had a question from a member of our community. Since I came here through legal immigration they hoped I could help. I'm not sure I can but I will try. About 3 years ago, a 14 year old boy from Honduras was left behind by his 'father' who was having him work illegally as a roofer and took all his pay. After an argument that the homeowners got involved in, he left the boy on their doorstep. The people took him in, sent him to school and cared for him. He is now 17 and they are looking into ways to get him a legal status. We don't know of any US citizen (or greencard) family members and the child was not officially adopted. The 'father' that left him is probably not the father, and illegal in any case. They do have contact with his birth mother in Honduras and she is willing to help in any way she can. I am thinking about special immigrant juvenile classification (i360 and i485) but any advise is welcome.

I am eligible to file for naturalization but I am not sure if I want to? I see many people file the minute they become eligible, but I'm just not feeling it! At the moment, I would only do it in the hopes that it might speed up my I-751 and to (of course) never have to deal with USCIS again, but I have no desire whatsoever to become a USC! I don't feel committed to the US enough, I won't leave any time soon, but I just don't feel like it's 'my' country and I'm also not sure if it ever will feel like 'my' country. I can have dual citizenship, so that's not an issue. Am I just being silly? What were your reasons to file for naturalization? Just to be done with the Immigration process, or does being a USC mean more to you than that?

Hello everyone, I was wondering if the decision on doing an interview or approving/denying without an interview is completely random. If not, is there a pov on deciding factors? Would love to hear from you!

Hi, anyone else having issues submitting their N400 online? I've been trying to submit the N400 naturalization form. I have entered all the info and everything is correct. But when I try to submit everything and it tries to connect to the pay.gov payment website for the payment, I keep getting this error: "We are having trouble sending you to Pay.gov". I have been trying now for 2 days to submit this, but it is not working. I tried different computers and different browsers, so it's not me. I also tried signing in on the pay.gov website directly, but there is no option there to pay for the N400 form Please advise, thank you I also send uscis a message but maybe someone here knows what to do. I can also do everyting on paper, but what's the point if there should be an option to do everything online while it's not working

Hi all, I haven't been on here in a long while, and have a few questions about the situation I am in. The resources on VJ really helped me when I was first dealing with US immigration 12 years ago! Back in 2011 I moved to the US on a K1 visa, got married, did the AOS, removal of conditions, and eventually received a 10 year green card. I got a job, we bought a house, we had kids(dual citizens US and NL). Then, the pandemic happened and it was much harder not to be near my family. We decided to move to the Netherlands, where I am from, to be close to my family for a while. My husband (American) found a job and we finally moved summer 2022. I like it here but know I don't want to stay forever - I think we would want to move back to our house in the US in Summer 2024. I would like some advice regarding the steps to take to make this happen. I haven't yet given up my GC, but realize I will probably have to do that. It doesn't seem like I meet the criteria for a readmittance visa since I left voluntarily to live outside the US. It is all a bit confusing, and frankly, scary to see the processing times for visas etc. It almost seems as though I would need to apply for a new visa in the next few months if we want any chance of getting an immigration visa in that time frame. And will I be allowed to travel to the US to see our family, friends, and take care of things regarding our house? Any help would be much appreciated, I am kind of freaking out over here.
