US Immigration from Nepal

Hello VisaJourney,

I am an American citizen marrying a Nepali citizen, we had our ceremony on the 17th, soon after I received my affidavit to marry from the Embassy, and have today went to the local government's office to get proof of my 15-day residency. Once we have this document we can proceed to Kathmandu's court to file the marriage certificate.

The gentleman at the office was extremely difficult and claimed he could not sign off, asking "why do I have to do it? It says right there on the visa." The court will not do anything until our local area's office verify residency and proof of eligibility.

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions for our situation? The overall mood here is that we will not be helped unless we *know someone* who cares to help.

Hi guys. Has anyone postponed visa interview dates?

How long after can we reschedule the interview date?? Can we do postpone it for 1 month?

Through this site, I came to know that people contacted NVC for CSPA review.

I am a derivative beneficiary under FB4 category and although I am 21+, i am protect under CSPA. I was able to pay my IV fees and submit documents. And I didn t contact NVC for any reviews.....

My question is now how do I prove at interview that I m protected under CSPA? Are there any additional documents needed? Do I need to notify NVC to inform Embassy? Is it automatic?

also found out from here that cspa children are given cspa worksheets in interviews........ Do I need to Inform Embassy before the interview about this?
