US Immigration from Mozambique

My fianc overstayed his visa in another country (South Africa) when we vacationed together by a matter of hours. They prohibited him from visiting South Africa for one year and stamped it in his visa. It has been over a year.

My fianc is from Mozambique and his US Embassy interview needs to be in South Africa.

My question is, can they deny his visa because of this? Is there anything he can do to prepare for the interview?

i renewed my EAD C09 with AP in jan 21,now my i360 got approved and i received C31.

Does C31 comes with advance parole or i have to apply for AP again?

which one of the EADs should i use if i travel to my home country?
