Question on Part 3 of Affidavit of Support Form I-864 - Mexico

I'm helping my dad petition his brother and his family. On the Affidavit of Support Part 3 section 4.a. it asked for Family Member 1 Family Name (Last Name). I have entered his wife in this section. However, I'm unsure how I should enter the last name. Usually in Mexico the wife keeps her last name and they add "De" and then the husbands last name. Example: Maria Sanchez de Martinez. Is this how I need to enter the last name here or how should I enter it?

Advance Parole Travel

Hello all!

I have a question with traveling while on Advance Parole. I'm a Mexican National applying for Adjustment of Status after marrying a US Citizen last year. I've been in the US for almost 13 non-consecutive years as a student (undergrad, and two graduate degrees (I'm from the border, so that is not uncommon)). When I started applying, I talked to a lawyer who suggested that I do the process myself to avoid paying lawyer fees, so I did. He gave me a detailed set of instructions to apply for I-130, I-485, I-765 and I-131 myself. I recently received my EAD/AP combo card and when talking to the lawyer to confirm what they were, he suggested that I wait until I get my actual GC to travel, even though the Advance Parole was approved by USCIS. I was wondering if anyone else was told the same.

I have to stress that the lawyer does not represent me, nor does he have my file, as I did the whole packet myself. I got in contact with him through someone else. Nonetheless, I appreciate his help and advice throughout this whole process.

Thanks in advance to everyone that answers my question.

Naturalization Eligibility - 3 years from marriage or Green Card issue date?

My wife and I married about 5 months before she got her green card.

The Visa Journey site says that she is eligible to apply for citizenship on or after our 3-year anniversary (November of this year):

Quote

the applicant has been married to and living in a valid marital union with the same U.S. citizen spouse for all three years

But the USCIS web site seems to imply that the 3-years is after the original green card issue date (April of next year):

Quote

Generally, to qualify for naturalization based on marriage to a U.S. citizen, you must have been a lawful permanent
resident for at least 3 years.

So which date is it?

Also - the info about applying 90 days early is a little scarce. Can we apply 90 days before whichever date (Nov or April)?

Thanks for the help!

Aaron and Cintya.

Naturalization (Citizenship) Application N-400 with Green Card Extension Letter?

My wife filed I-751 to remove conditions on her Green Card, but she received an extension letter (I-797) granting 2 year extension.

She is coming up on 3 years and can apply for citizenship. Does she have to wait for a green card renewal? Or is the extension letter enough?

Thanks!

Aaron and Cintya.

So I had my N-400 and I-751 interview a few days ago; everything went well, officer said she would approve our pending I-751, and after the next round of questions, she recommended our N-400 for approval as well.

That same day the case tracker updated to say N-400 Oath Ceremony would be scheduled, but the I-751 still showed fingerprints taken . Well yesterday I open up the case tracker and I-751 has now changed to say Case transferred to another office and initial review. What would this mean? Should I be worried?

Timeline for reference
I-485 submitted 02/24/20; interview + approved 11/05/20

I-751 submitted 11/10/20; fingerprints update 11/26/20; transferred to another office 06/26/20

N-400 submitted online 02/26/24, interview scheduled notice 05/16/24; interview 06/24/24; recommended for approval 06/24/24
