So question....currently we are going through the I130 process with my husband. Now he is wanting for my MIL to come visit while we wait for the waiver to be approved(hasn't physically seen her in 20yrs) . She has already tried once but was denied ( she also went with a group of people) so I am wondering what we can do to apply for her visa from the US. Thanks for any info guys!

Hi. I received a RFE for 1099 on 05/19 (I had already submitted it and it was accepted) , I went ahead and re-sumbitted it with an explanation letter stating that's the only 1099 that was used to do our taxes. I logged in today 05/21 and saw that my home page everything was accepted but I did not received an DQ update. I clicked on the household member where they requested 1099 and it still shows SUBMITTED. Can someone explain this to me or has this happen to anyone else? Thanks!

Hello guys. I have an immigration lawyer helping me with my process. right now we are at the NVC phase. So my immigration lawyer says that first we need to pay and submit form i-864 with documents and wait until NVC authorizes it (which we don't know how long it will take). Then once the NVC authorizes that form then we can proceed to pay and submit form DS-260 with documents. He states that we need to do it my steps. Is this true? Or can we submit one after the other straight away?. I haven't seen anywhere that we need to doit that way. Thank you

I am totally shocked about my grandson s IR 2 case. My grandson is now 2 years old. The father is an American citizen and mother has a green card. The case was received by USCIS on May 15, 2022. Mom was breastfeeding at the time. She was worried about her time out of the United States so an attorney advised her to return to the United States for a few months so not to lose her status. She left the baby with the father in Mexico and came to live with me and her father for 6 months, missing Christmas with her son. She got a job working at a Mexican restaurant while she was here and the father stayed in Mexico with the baby. I thought the average time was 10 5 months for the visa but I was shocked when I saw now is over 41months. I think because it was sent to the Texas processing center. This is absurd since the parents are both legal to live in the United States. I want to file for an expedited visa. I am sure it would be for humanitarian reasons but they are so strict on what they approve or not approve. Can anyone help with the wording Ivan use to get this baby to the United States?
