General Tax Filing Questions

My husband and I are currently waiting for his spousal visa interview (CR1). For the past two years, since we have been married, I have filed MFS. I have filed through TurboTax and mailed my filings with non resident alien written in the spousal SSN. If he is able to get an interview and get his visa this year and able to enter the US, I would like to file MFJ. My questions are related to his income earned in Mexico. (1) Since he doesn t have a W2 or a similar document, does anyone know how I would enter that income into a tax prep software? (2) How would I convert pesos to USD? Would it just be on the conversion rate at the end of the year? (3) Is there a way to deduct what Mexico taxes my husband has paid from my tax liability? (4) If he enters the US this later year, do I have to claim all of his Mexico earnings even though he was not in the US all year? If anyone has any suggestions on this topic, I would greatly appreciate it.

i485 Cases Approved Today - but what happens now?

Brought my fianc and her son over on 129F in December 2022, got married and filed all the i485 paperwork which was received in February 23. Here we are 5 months later and today received a notice online and the portal states "Case Approved".

"We approved your form I-485,... and sent you an approval notice....please follow the instructions on your notice... if you do not receive your notice by Augst 19th... etc etc"

How excited should we be about this? What usually happens from here? I have been searching this forum and most of the discussion seems to end at people getting approved.

Some obvious questions:

- What instructions are likely included in the approval letter?

-Since the case was "Approved" does that mean another interview is no longer needed?

-Will the green card just print and arrive automatically?

-What kind of timeline are we looking at?

Since it has only been 6 months and they publish 20 months I feel like maybe we are not really in the end game. I want to be excited, but not sure if it's too early for that.

Thanks

Just mailed our K1 packet using USPS Express and sent it to the wrong address I believe. I just used the address posted on the uscis website for usps as I thought using express meant it got there faster. Will this be an issue? I mailed it to the Dallas, TX 75266 P.O. box instead of the Lewisville address(I think they should be more specific about express since express is USPS. But my package is currently sitting at a post office in Dallas, TX 75260 available for pickup.

Hello, so im a USC married to my wife from Mexico, we are currently waiting interview date for GC. My wife has a bachelors degree in industrial engineering and has two years of experience as of now. How hard would it be for her to find a job in her studied field? We fully know that she will probably need to find an entry level job or work in something different when she comes to the US because we know it will difficult or maybe not possible, but wanted to get different opinions and experiences.

Thank you kind people
