Hello guys,

so today my husbands I-485, I-131 and I-765 was DENIED

it makes so sad to think i did something wrong so i went over my application and the only thing that i found incorrect was that my lawyer translated his birth certificate incorrectly.

he entered legally into the USA in April of 2019, he got approved for the K1 visa in april as well and we go married last week of April! We sent our petition May 2019

i can not seem to figure out why we got denied

he's never entered the USA this has been his first visa and first adjustment of status

he has no criminal background in mexico nor the USA

i sent photographs of our marriage

i sent affidavit i make more than the minimum i am so confused to why they would deny us

our case was at the National benefits center

we got NO RFE NO INTERVIEW WAS SCHEDULED

The last update online before the denial was fingerprint fee was received

he went into to do biometrics on JUNE 27

please someone that has a similiar situation please help

im not sure what his legal status is now

what do we do next?

Hi everyone, Maybe I just need to vent but my husband's I-551 stamp expires in 10 9 business days and USCIS is not calling us back to schedule the info pass appointment for a new stamp. I realize he is legal, but his employer wants proof he can still work legally after the stamp expires.

When we filed ROC we never received the NOA with 18 mos. extension. We called a few times about this and went to an info pass appointment where they took his green card and put a one year stamp in his passport (meaning he must carry his passport at all times-not very convenient). That one year stamp expires very soon, and we've called USCIS NOW 7 TIMES times since the end of Oct to schedule another appointment. Each time they say they will call us back in a few days-so far nothing. So we have no 18 mos extension letter, no green card (which is expired now anyway) and in a few days an expired stamp. UPDATE; THEY CALLED TODAY-AFTER WAITING 15 DAYS WITH PHONE IN HAND-IT RANG ONCE, I ANSWERED IMMEDIATELY AND THEY HAD ALREADY DISCONNECTED. NOW WHAT DO WE DO? I CALLED USCIS AND WAS TOLD THEY WILL CALL BACK ONCE AND IF I MISS THAT CALL (PRETTY LIKELY) I NEED TO START THE PROCESS AGAIN-MEANING MY HUSBAND LOSES HIS JOB AND HAS NO PROOF OF BEING LEGAL. NONE.

NOW IT SEEMS CLEAR THAT THIS PROCESS IS DESIGNED TO MAKE IT MORE DIFFICULT TO REMAIN LEGAL, OR EMPLOYED. IT IS SHOCKING HOW BAD THIS SYSTEM IS, BUT MAYBE THAT'S THE POINT.

It is no longer possible to schedule the info pass online; instead you call and request one-they promise to call back and you need to give some case code number when they call. They only try twice-and you cannot call back on that line.....meaning if you're not with your phone at all times it would be pretty easy to miss the call (like if you, say, have a job that would make answering difficult, or if you drive anywhere, or decide you need a shower some time in those 3 days)

How does this system to schedule info pass help anyone? It just makes it more likely you can't get the proof you need. Moreover, this could all have been solved without an info pass appointment (a year ago they could have sent a copy of the NOA with the stated extension), or with one info pass appointment they could have put an 18 mos stamp in the passport, or if all that failed they could call us back after the first few calls. How does this help them or us to have to call repeatedly, travel to info pass twice, request the NOA copy 3 times, send us email etc? This is a lot of extra work for everyone involved and still we are no closer to having the proof we need.

Hey Guys,

Does your social security number or your Texas DL number change when you bring in your naturalization document with name change?

Also, do you need to get the new drivers license before you go to change your social security card?

Hello everyone! I am completing the Form I-134 in support of my fianc (k1 visa) appointment is 12/4/19. There is a question on the form that asks if I submitted a visa petition to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services on behalf of the following persons:

My question is..15 years ago I submitted the initial I-130 but abandoned it when we got the interview date (the marriage broke up after about 8 months). I never completed the DS -260. Do I include my ex husband's info even though we did not complete the process? Ok, my gut is saying yes but wanted to get people's perspective. Thank you!

Can I get another tourist visa?

I'm Mexican. In 2016 I was hired to work in a 4 day summer camp in CA for $400 in cash ($100 per day). The lady who hired me, however, didn't tell me to apply for a work visa, and I was unaware of the law back then (I was 20 years old). When I arrived I was honest to the immigration officer and told him I was there to work for 4 days for $400 USD. He said that wasn't allowed on my visa, but I think he trusted that it was an honest mistake and allowed me to withdraw my application for admission instead of removing me. He cancelled my visa and wrote 22 CFR 41.122(e)3 on it, but he said I could apply for a new one when I wanted. Apparently, no waiver is needed. I used to legally study at CU Boulder under an F-1 visa before the incident, but I didn't like it that much and decided to come back home to Mexico after one year (I'm currently a 23 year old college student in Mexico City).

I applied for a Canadian eTA back in 2017 and in the application I was asked if I had ever been denied entry to another country. I explained what happened to me in the US in detail and I was granted the eTA either way. Canada wasn't alarmed by this. I went to Canada in 2018 and entered without a problem. I have also been granted chinese, vietnamese, and thai visas after the incident and entered those countries without a problem. I have also travelled to Costa Rica, Singapore, Hong Kong, Morocco, Peru, Japan and many different countries in the European Union after my incident in the US and I have never been asked about my immigration issue in the USA. I should also mention that I'm becoming a Portuguese and Spanish citizen soon...

Is it likely the US will grant me another tourist visa? I like to travel, so I suppose it's clear that I will not be staying to work in the US illegally. In fact... I was living there legally and decided to leave.

Could another nationality possibly help my case? In the end, if I wanted to leave Mexico and work in another country, I could do that legally.

IF I am granted the visa, will I always be sent to secondary inspection when I step foot in the country from that moment on?

Thanks in advance!
