Helping my mom become a resident |

Hello, I recently became a US citizen and want to help my mom become a resident or get her a visa. However, she is currently living in the country illegally. She's never had a criminal record or any issues with authorities. The only issue I have is that my grandma is currently sick in Mexico and she wants to go back to be with her. I'm wondering if she leaves the country, how much would it affect the process BEFORE I submit any paperwork?

I just tried to use the United Health Care that advertises on visa journey. I need a policy for my husband for a couple of weeks until January 1. They will not cover anybody that has not been in the United States for the past 12 months. So that s crazy that they re advertising when it s not going to work for many people in this circumstance. Does anybody have any suggestions for a company that offers a short term catastrophic type policy?

Hey guys, my fiance is from Mexico and has lived in 4 different states (in Mexico) since he was 16. We are trying to do research on how to get police certificates there but honestly we are so confused. If someone that has done this can chime in on how the process works, it would be super helpful. I have read that you obtain a certificate from the state or if it's not available from the state you get the federal one. My fiance read that he can't get a state one in Nuevo Leon so he would have to get the federal one. Would he still have to get the other state ones if he already has to get the federal? He read that he would have to travel to all of the states physically to obtain them. Is this true? That would be so complicated I am hoping the single federal police certificate will suffice. Thanks so much for any help you all can provide.

Question about I-130 Approved Stamped Passport |

I'm getting a little ahead of myself but I wanted to just have an idea how things will turn out when the time comes... Say my wife's I-130 petition gets approved without a hitch, we smoothly sail through the NVC process, and completely ace the interview and medical exam --- once all that's done, from what I know and have read and watched online, she will get an approval notice given to her after the interview by the officer and then be mailed out her documents, passport, and a sealed folder to give to CBP at the border when she goes to cross into the US for the first time. After she is approved we also can pay for her immigrant fee online and order her green card (apparently taking up to 6 months for it to arrive), but in the mean time once she receives her passport back in the mail she will have a stamp in it that gives her the clearance to cross into the US as a permanent resident. My question then is, if she and I were to cross to the US (we live in Ciudad Juarez) the second she gets her stamped passport as a day trip to research apartments and take her out the eat would she be able to go back to Mexico at the end of the day and then cross back into US again the next? I guess what I'm saying is, does that stamped passport allow her to be seen as a permanent resident to cross lawfully a number of times until she gets her official green card in the mail?

My husband arrives next weekend and I cannot cover him on my insurance until the first of next month. I saw elsewhere in the forums that we cannot use the fianc temporary health insurance that is advertised because he is already considered an immigrant.Same thing with using travel insurance. Does anyone know of any other options? I suppose I ll just have to go to a marketplace agency, but don t know if they will do short term policies.
