Physical Addresses

Hello everybody,

I am currently staying with my fianc in Mexico during the quarantine, and I've been here for the past two months. However, I still have my place in the US which is my official address. I will likely return to my place in the US in June, which is where I will then send in our i-129f. Should I include my fianc 's address in Mexico as one of my physical addresses since I've been here for a long period of time even though I'm technically just visiting and still have my address in the US?

Also, I studied abroad in Spain over the fall and bounced around different apartments. There are gaps in between while I was at the apartments. I stayed with a friend in Madrid during one of the gaps and during the other gap I visited my fianc for a week in Mexico. Should I just extend the dates I was at the apartments to cover those gaps? Or is it okay to have gaps in my physical addresses?

Thanks!

I-944 Education Equivalency with no transcripts?

Hey guys,

I am finishing up the concurrent I-130 and I-485 for my spouse and one thing has me worried and that is the education.

She has a Bachelors degree in Nursing from Mexico and with her, she has what is called a Cedula or ID. This is an official ID from the Secretary of Public Education in Mexico and the ID has an official seal and clearly states that the ID validates her completion in a bachelors degree in nursing. There is even an official Government website where the USCIS officer could enter the ID and it would confirm the university she graduated from and the degree she received.

My issue is that I don't think I can get an equivalency exam without having transcripts and with COVID-19 and Mexico being...well Mexico, I have been having issues reaching the school.

Would it be acceptable to just send a copy of this ID, a translation, and maybe printout of the Government website?

Also, I attached a cover letter and printed out a copy of the Bureau of Labor Statistics to show the median salary of nurses and projected growth. I am hoping this helps too.

I am kind of worried to send it in without an equivalency exam considering USCIS can now simply deny applications without an RFE.

Quote

The policy implemented in the 2018 PM rescinds the 2013 PM s no possibility policy and restores to the adjudicator full discretion to deny applications, petitions, and requests without first issuing an RFE or NOID, when appropriate. This policy is intended to discourage frivolous or substantially incomplete filings used as placeholder filings and to encourage applicants, petitioners, and requestors to be diligent in collecting and submitting required evidence. The purpose of this policy memo is NOT to penalize filers for innocent mistakes or misunderstandings of the evidence required to establish eligibility.

I am attaching more than the requested evidence where needed and providing signed letters providing explanations as much as possible for any items.

Hopefully someone has input on the education part or a similar experience.

Thank you

Hello everybody!

My fiance worked as an au pair for a year on a J-1 visa and was issued a social security card. Is that her social security number for life? As in is that the number I should put on the i-129f when it asks for my beneficiary's social security number?

Thanks!
