US Immigration from Mexico

Question?? I am asking for a friend. Her husband mexican citizen living in the usa. They are working with a lawyer that is getting info of him from FOIA and FBI came back clean. Getting report from CBP saying very little info saying inadmissable and drug traffiker and it also said that he had signed a affidavit. So the lawyer is asking for a copy of the affidavit because wasn't in the report she got back from CBP. Back ground when he was 14 years old he got caught by border patrol and he was transporting marijuana in a back pack. Husband said that they were asking him where he got the drugs who was he selling for and he said he didn't say anything. Finally he said that someone asked him to walk it over. He said that he was given a paper and they released him to cps but in Mexico. (I forget what he called it). So the question is he was caught transporting marijuana when he was 14 does that mean he is inadmissable no matter what. He can never submit a waiver for it?

has anyone experienced a rejected packet.. I sent I-130, I-485, I-765 & I-864.. with pictures & all other documents.. the whole thing came back stating the I-864 was NOT included!!!

So we just received out EAD card and wanted to apply for the Social Security Card. All offices are closed for one on one interviews and cant mail in the info. Does anyone know when they are opening up again or alternatives to apply for a SSN?

There is a lot of mixed answers. The EO does not mention that K1 is affected however nor does it mention it is exempt as the only exemptions to this are spouses and children. Some lawyers are saying the K visas are not affected and some are saying it is; Just like some embassies.

The most simple solution is to gather information from the government themselves, mind you, we might still get mixed answers. If all the US Citizens take some time to write an email to either their house representative or their state senate regarding where the K visas stand, we can get a more clear answer than the speculations going around and everyone's take on the EO.

We are all in the same boat and we are all in this together. Lets be positive and lets make some noise. Instead of having each consulate have their own interpretation, as some already are doing so. For Ex. the London embassy saying that the K1 is affected as stated in their appt cancellation email. If we make noise regarding the K visas within the Gov we might get a clear answer and they might include us in the EO.

Hi everyone,

I hope everyone is staying safe. I entered the US in March with a K1 Visa to marry my fiance. Because of COVID and then the riots and looting we were not able to get a marriage license until June 9th and my passport was tamped to be married by June 18th. Everything was set for us to marry but then I got news that a family member in Mexico was terminally ill with COVID and I left the US to be with her. We have our marriage license but never made it to the the courthouse. Is there a chance to revalidate my visa? It expires August 18th.
