Hello, If my LPR friend gets Divorced to USC after the 3 year requirement for citizenship on a 2 year conditional residency, does USCIS count the 3 years as LPR towards the 5 year requirement after divorce, reducing the N400 year requirement to 2 years? Or does the 5 years start count after he removes his conditions for the 10 year GC? I'm so confused and I dont know what to tell him, he consulted an attorney but he not sure if the 5 years countdown is after he removes his conditional residency or if USCIS count the 2 years toward the 5 year for the N400 after divorce. I understand after divorce, the marriage will affect his citizenship and increase his waiting time from 3 years to 5 years. However, will those 3 years as permanent resident count towards the 5 years?

I would like to know if anyone its waiting on I-601 approval. I submitted an I-601 waiver for my mom back on September 2019 and I still have not received an answer. I see the processing time its from 3-6 months, I wonder if this is normal since I contacted USCIS and they are just saying they don't have an answer yet. I consider this not a good answer. I appreciate any feedback. Thanks

Hello eveyone: I've been following the page for some time and I've been wondering something regarding the CR1/IR1 visa. (My spouse is an American Citizen and I'm Mexican) Currently we're living abroad and I was wondering if at the end of the process we get the visa approved does that mean we have to move back to America right away? This is because we might start the process when we turn 2 years of marriage but whilst the process is still going we'll be living abroad and we'll have to sort things out before going to the US. Is there any "grace period"? (hopefully I've been clear with my question) Cheers.

Hey guys. I recently got my visa issued on July 8. I have plans to travel on August 11. A direct flight from Durango, Mexico to Chicago, IL. I've been getting scared lately because I don't know if I'm waiting too long to go back. I wouldn't want the boarders to close by the end of July or beginning of August. I have two cats, one is 1yr and the other one is 4 months. I recently vaccinated them for rabies so I have to wait at least 30 days before I can take them with me. I wouldn't want to leave my cats here as I wouldn't know when I could come back to pick them up in the stream of this pandemic . Should I leave my fur babies with a relative here and travel within the week or the next or wait to travel next month? What do you guys think?
