US Immigration from Macedonia

Hello all,

My wife's grandmother has a 10 year B2 Visa and had visited us previously in 2017 and 2021.

My wife and I have our 3rd child due later this year and her grandmother will be visiting us to help out with the new baby.

This will be her final visit to the U.S. and we would like to extend her stay an additional four months, so that she can help out and we can accompany her on her trip back home since we will be going on vacation there ourselves.

Let's say she stays the additional four months. Would we run into any issues upon her depature if we don't receive a response during her stay?

Also, does she need a return ticket upon her arrival to the US, or can that be booked after her arrival?

Any suggestions?

I am hoping someone might have experience with this. Here is the run down

Our cousin from Macedonia is a doctor (for past 10 years) currently a cardiology resident.

He and his wife and hoping to come to the states on a work visa

Currently doctor credentials don't transfer and so he is looking at coming as a nurse.

We live in South Carolina and to take the NCLEX (nursing exam) the person must have a green card / work visa and or Social Security card

He has a limited SS# from when he came as a student 10 years ago but it states on the card it is only active with a work visa.

So he has to go through North Carolina to apply to take the NCLEX

First he has to get his credentials reviewed by a company called CGFNS

It took a 3 month visit to try and sort all this out, it was like trying to figure out what came first, the chicken or the egg.

We think:

CGFNS approves credentials

This info is sent to North Carolina nurse board who approves the NCLEX exam

He can take it in Turkey or France I believe

Once the NCLEX is passed

He can get a job offer and start work visa proceedings ( he already has an offer pending NCLEX results)

Has anyone been through something like this before?

I have overstayed my J-1 visa and I want to see about my options to stay legally, either a new visa or start the green card process. I appreciate any advice you might have.

Hello everyone,

Almost three weeks ago, my husband sent additional documents to the Embassy proving my domicile as a US citizen (he got a 221g refusal at the interview) We sent: 1 year lease agreement, bank account, wire transfer of money, state ID and voter card.

I have lived in Macedonia for 15 years and been to the US a few times, but not enough to have domicile. I am in the US now and got all the above mentioned documents.
I would like to go back to Macedonia this week and tie up loose ends (such as close bank accounts etc) and hopefully, if my husband gets approved, come back to the US together.

Can I go back to Macedonia even though his visa is still not approved? (it says READY at CEAC)
