A little backstory. My husband petitioned for me when he was still a LPR back in 2021 in F2A and he naturalized in July 2023. We had our son in 2022 and added him as a derivative for the F2A application. After citizenship we decided to upgrade the petition and file for a separate i130 for our son (we thought it would be faster seeing as F2A priority date regressed by 2 years now at 2018 ) Things moved pretty fast after that and now my case is a NVC awaiting documentation but my sons application hasn't moved at all we haven't received NOA1 yet. What option do we have with USCIS? How do we expedite approval and on what grounds? I understand we can delay uploading documents at NVC as we wait but we don't know how long we will wait. Have there been any similar cases to ours and how did you go about it? This wait is so frustrating . I was thinking of just going ahead with my application and getting a visitor visa for him and we can travel together incase the wait ages out my visa. Then just shuffle back and forth until his interview?

Please any advise is appreciated.

Hello l lived in Saudia 3 years and Dubai for 2 years,, do l need police clearance for the countries on the interview day??

I have my oath ceremony scheduled. My children who were under my petition have never gotten their green cards (although our I-751 was waived and the officer interviewing me for my naturalization said they would mail the kids GC. This was back in June. The kids are over 18 and I thought they are not eligible for naturalization for another two years. After waiting a month with no cards, I called the USCIS and they forwarded the kids case back to the field office (Kansas City). This morning, I got the email below for all the three kids saying they won't get green cards because oath ceremony had been scheduled. I had gotten the same message earlier for my own I-751 when my oath ceremony was scheduled but I am very confused by this new status for the kids.

Now that there is notice that F2B may
retrogress at some point in future and F1 dates has started moving, it is a very possible that F1 final action dates may overtake F2B at some point.

For those whose petitioners have since naturalized, I know there is an option to request USCIS to retain F2B category because of a favourable cut off date. In the event F1 dates become favourable to the applicant, I know its also possible to request USCIS to switch the case to F1.

Question: How many times can one switch between the two categories as dates become favourable to them? Is there a limit to the number of times one can request switch in categories?

I applied for replacement of green card due to DHS error, form i-90. This because I came to USA after our second wedding anniversary.

My green card is expiring on July 14th 2023.

I called USCIS, they said I will get an extension. on phone told I was told that my local field officer will contact me so that I can get an extension.

My local field officer has not contacted me. This is making me nervous.

What will happen after 14th. Can I be removed from the country because my green card has expired. Or I cannot I called them explained my situation, they gave me a solution which they should implement but they have not implemented.
