Just Curious Why Vermont visa Applications Take So Long |

Hey, I'm unsure if this is the correct place to ask this but upon checking the processing times page, I noticed that Vermont is estimated to take up to 15-20 months for processing and even though I didn't file at the Vermont service center I was wondering why that is? Does it reflect how long most applications are going to take at all of the service centers in the U.S.? Is there a specific reason why they are taking longer in Vermont and California is taking between 5-7 months? I'm asking this because even though I didn't file at the Vermont service center, I was curious whether the wait times were usually the same everywhere for the most part and perhaps the other time frame estimates haven't updated yet, or if that 15-20 month timeframe only reflected the Vermont service center exclusively. Would I still likely get NOA 2 this month (or next month), or am I expected to be waiting 15-20 months as well considering the current political climate?

I am in a unique situation where I was married previously and didn t need a Joint Sponsor. However after a divorce and remarrying, the NVC has said I need a Joint Sponsor even though I make well over the 125% of Poverty guidelines. my question is: my I-864 application for my 2nd marriage was required to include my prior wife and kids (which I sponsored years ago) when determining the size of my household. Because I now need a Joint Sponsor, does this new Joint Sponsor also have to include the previous immigrants when determining household size? Since they are only Sponsoring my current wife and kids I don t know how the CO/Embassy will count their application size. Also, I assume the new Joint Sponsor would not be liable for my first spouse as they were not apart of that application/approval process. I would appreciate any answers you may have! thank you in advance!

Can Embassy Letter be emailed? |

We're currently waiting for an approval for our I-129F and I'm anticipating that we'll hear back very soon, but I'm a little concerned about a little further down the line. I read that the embassy letter for my fiancee that would instruct her about the medical exam and the interview will be sent to her and I know that she doesn't really have a proper address to send it to. She of course has a post office number that I guess she could use to receive but I feel like that could complicate things and possibly mess up our application if the letter goes missing or something. But I'm wondering if it's possible to get the embassy to email her the letter instead of sending to her via regular mail, as I think that would be easier. And if it is possible to have it emailed, how would she go about setting that up/requesting that? I understand that it may not necessarily be something that I should be worrying about right this moment since I haven't even gotten an approval yet, but I just want to be extra careful and certain that things go as smoothly as possible especially considering the current health crisis.

I am a USC applying for my wife and 2 stepchildren. My wife's case got to the NVC months before the kids. Her case was DQ'd and we are waiting for the interview date when finally the kids case is approved by USCIS and sent to NVC. We submit our docs only to get the following response today: So my question is... Has anyone had NVC tell them they don't meet the minimum requirement when I make well above 150% of the poverty guidelines for my household size?

Hello, I mailed I-130/I-485 package for my mom on Sept 17 but have not received any kind of notification. I checked tracking and the package was delivered shortly after it was mailed. Is this normal? Any recommendations on how to follow up? thanks
