DS-260 - question about mother's address not showing up on online form

I'm hoping someone can help me. This website has been a tremendous resource in my immigration journey (AOS >> green card >> citizenship).

I'm helping my niece fill out her DS-260 form (her dad is a US citizen and the form I-130 was approved). When we were reviewing the form before submitting (review format), we noticed that one of the questions ["Is your mother's address the same as your father's?"] is showing up as unanswered but when we look at the actual online form, the question doesn't appear as an option to respond to.

Has anyone encountered this before? Could it be an issue if the form is submitted with what seems to be an unanswered question?

My 5 year old child will be going for his interview this month. He has been staying with his grandma after I came to the US. His biological father has never been there in his life even before he was born he didn t want anything to do with the child. The father is therefore not there on the birth certificate and on DS260 I wrote father was unknown. Should I reschedule the interview? Or How do I go about this at the interview since I can not get him to give consent? Thank you

Hi all,

my fianc was asked to send in additional documents along with his passport to the consulate via DHL. We just read that the instructions page (generated on the AIS page) is supposed to be sent along with the documents. We didn t include the instructions page and we re wondering if this could have a negative impact. Does anyone have experience with sending documents to the consulate via courier? Can we just attach the instructions page as pdf and email it to the consulate? Please help. Attached below is the instructions page.
(I hope my question is clear)

I received my passport and passport card on Dec 12, but not my naturalization certificate till now, I called them today and put me on hold for nealry an hour and finally a representative talked to me and told me your document already maild to you on Dec 11, I told him I didn't get anything, then told me you have to contact the USPS, ok give me the tracking number to contact them, to my surprise he said no tracking number, it was sent be regular mail , OMG how could they sent an original document that cost us time and money to obtain it by regular mail, although I paid $35 extra for the post office to send me my documents back, one more thin on checking the complaints in their website I found out that all people complains that they never recieve their documnets, so I believe that, they do that on purpose, so people have to apply for a replacement and pay the fees which is more than $500 .

In my home country which called third world, they never take the original you submit the original , they check it then take a copy of it. As long as they never send the original documents back here in America, why they asked for original.

Hello guys,

If you take a long trip abroad longer than 6 months but less than 1 year and decide to wait 2 years and 6 months from your return date to apply for naturalization (by way of marriage), what date should one then put as the departure date when listing the trips abroad in the past 3 years since you were still outside the country at the beginning of the 3 year window?

Does filing online make a difference than filing a paper application? I think I read elsewhere that if you file online, the system will not allow you to put a date older than the 3 year window so the only date you would be able to put is the earliest date of your 3 year window which would mean your trip is under 6 months, Is this correct?

Thank you!
