Hi I'm trying to submit the AOS before the Christmas, because the due date of AOS (90days after enter to the USA) is on January 4th which is K-1 visa expire date.
Is the document should be arrive before the due date or postmarked before the due day is fine ?
If someone know this please help this out thank you !

Hi, I trying to collect the evidence of I-864 now.

Here is what I would like to ask.

for I-864 part6 No.7, do I need to attach the evidence of income of latest year? Because they say "you're not inquired unless US Government ask" in the instruction (as attached pic), However it seems like every one submit the evidence, so I'm confusing.

please help this, thank you

Mistaken Code on EAD

Hello, I hope I am posting in the correct forum.

My sister in law is here on an F-1 visa and applied for an EAD card based on Severe Economic Hardship, C3iii. If it matters, we filled out the forms with the correct code. It was approved, and she received her card last July 2021. In the meantime she found an on campus job and started working, so did not need to use her EAD card. Now, December 2021, she accepted an off campus job and is supposed to start working on Friday. Her international student coordinator just emailed her today stating that there was a mistake on her EAD card and it was issued for C03B or post completion OPT.

Questions- how do we correct this error? The typographical error form did not work on either of our computers. Can we do infopass? Can she still start working on Friday as she has already completed all of her pre-hire paperwork?

Additionally, can someone provide us with a phone number that we can actually speak to an agent?

We appreciate your assistance.

I was annulled 4years ago but still using my ex-husband surname in all of my legal documents. Me and my fiance is planning of applying for K1 visa. We met here in Japan and our relationship is already 3yrs. He will be returning to the US for a new job. And he wants me to be in the US asap and get married there. My worries is that im still using my ex-husband surname. Will it be a problem if i use it in applying k1? Or should i change my passport and other ids to my maiden name?

RFE: What tax info am I supposed to be providing, exactly?

Hi, I've tried to find more info on previously asked questions first but, honestly, I'm just confused at this point.

I recently got an RFE for my case. Here's what they asked for (and sorry for any weirdness, I voice dictated it):

-The Joint sponsor, submitted a joint federal income tax return for the most recent year. Since there is no supporting tax documentation (W-2s, 1099s, form 2555 and tax schedules) provided for the joint sponsor, we are not able to determine if the joint sponsors income on the federal income tax return meets or exceeds 125% of the poverty guideline.

-Based on the documents submitted, we could not determine that the joint sponsor, on form i-864, Affidavit of Support, is qualified. In order to be a qualified sponsor, The Joint sponsor form i-864 must be properly completed and signed and the supporting documents must establish that the joint sponsors income meets 125% of the federal poverty guideline. ... The total income line on IRS form 1040 is used to determine qualifying income for a sponsor, not the Gross Receipts line from IRS Schedule C or C-EZ.

My joint sponsor provided me with a 1040-SR (which, I will add, had a black line through his SSN. That's how his accountant gave it to him, I think.). It's joint, but he filed his wife as a dependent and she has essentially no income of her own. He's not employed but makes good money through stocks, so it's not like he doesn't have enough money. We also provided clear screenshots of his Charles Schwab account, assuming that would support the 1040. Of course, the I-864 was filled out and signed, etc.

I'm 23 so I don't fully understand all this tax stuff! I'd really appreciate any help figuring out what we need to send now. :) Thank you!!
