Hi, I just entered to the US two weeks ago, and I confirmed I have I-94 updated.

I try to apply SSN, but SSA seems like close due to the COVID, so I could not apply in person service. I called to SSA but they do not answer, also searched how to apply SSN online, I could not find any information.

if someone applied SSN recently I would like to know how and link of the website.
thank you

Just curious on how some of you got this done. The I 129F form requires two passport style pics taken within 30 days right?

Did you guys have the photo sent digitally and you printed it out at a local shop or did you physically have it mailed? Is there any regulation about this?

Thank you!

I read age gap is an issue sometimes. I'm 30 shes 35. Is this a problem?

I the US citizen and 30 to clarify. Shes Japanese.

Also I'm just about ready to file the I129F.

Was also wondering if the wet ink signature wave for that still is in effect? I did hire a lawyer to help me fill out the forms. He told me it was okay due to covid but I wanted a second opinion on that.

Thank you guys!

Hello everyone, I hope this is the right place to ask this.

Has anyone taken a valid covid test as required for travelling to Japan? I'm very confused with all the types of testing centers and which ones will actually meet the Japanese requirements.

RFE birth certificate USSR

Hi, we received a RFE today saying "must submit a copy of their birth certificate issued by the appropriate civil
authority in their country of birth. We will only accept a long-form birth certificate which lists at least one
parent."

I was born in USSR, which does not exist anymore, but even in my passport is says that I was born in USSR and not Russia.

We sent the copy of my USSR birth certificate with AOS package, and I also see the scan of it on my USCIS account.

It is the official document and even has the apostile on it, and it has both my parents names.

So, I am confused what exactly they want?

1. Do they want the birth certificate issued by Russia, and not USSR?

2. What happens if we just send them the same copy USSR birth certificate, and they still don't like it? Will they send us another RFE or just drop the case?

Thank you
