US Immigration from Japan

We now have a 24 month extension letter and a 48 month extension letter. Can we leave the 48 month letter at home and travel outside of the US with the 24 month version, or does the 48 month letter invalidate the previous one? Given that this paper is so flimsy yet so important, I d rather it be the 24 month version that gets lost or damaged first. I doubt we d ever lose it as we are very careful but would rather be safe than sorry.

We still have 20+ months remaining before expiration of the 24 month letter.

I suppose another option is to travel with both letters, but each in separate locations. In the event one of them is lost, then the other could be used for re-entry. That said, not sure this is a better approach.

I have a family register that acts as a birth, and marriage certificate. My wife's family register is 2 pages. I found a translator through the Embassy website. I sent the translator pdf files of the family register. He mailed me the translation, along with a letter certifying the translation is accurate, and a colored printout of the family register his stamp and signature on them.

In total i have Original family register (2 pages), translation (2 pages), copy of family register with translators signature and stamp.

do i need to include the copies that the translator stamped? what order do I scan these in?

I was hoping to get advice and a second opinion.

My wife and I are starting the process for her AOS process from F-1 visa to green card but...

Her F-1 visa expires in a couple days but she is still maintaining her student status at her school and her i-20 is valid until December.

We asked a lawyer online for advice and he says its fine to submit the i-485 after her F-1 expires. Is this true?

I am a US citizen and I already submitted my i-130 to be her sponsor.

We still want to try to submit her i-485 before her F1 visa expires but wont be able to get the marriage certificate on time. We have the customer copy from getting our marriage license and civil ceremony but no certificate yet.

other than the marriage certificate we have all other documents.

Should we submit the i-485 with basically the receipt of the marriage license before her F1 expires or is it really ok to apply after her visa expires?

My green card got stolen as well as my car in Montreal, Canada.

I entered US with my foreign passport and greencard.

I searched onine about the procedure and seems like I have to apply I-131A for travel document.

HOWEVER, the US consulate in Montreal does not take I-131A form.

Do you know what should I do?

I am permanent residence and submitted my husband's I-130 last June when visa bulletin status was current.

However, the visa bulletin for April, Final Action dates for family sponsored preference cases of F2A is changed from current to 08Sep20.

What does this mean to us?

We've been waiting for NOA2 but does this change gonna affect to NOA2? or since I submitted I 130 last June when status was current, is it ok?
