Hi Everyone, My dad was recently denied his immigrant visa due to crime of moral turpitude. He committed bigamy in 2006 and received a suspended sentence. His record has since been expunged and his police record is clear. The consular officer in Jamaica provided him papers and it says to file a i601 waiver. Does anyone have experience on this? I have been doing a lot of research and this was committed over 18 years ago and he has never had any issues prior or since. I don t believe I have extreme hardship so I m confused on that part. Is that needed for this specific case? I understand I may need to contact a lawyer.

My husband had his medical done in Jamaica, he has received some vaccines but is in need of more. He was told at his medical exam before coming to the U.S. on a K1 that he could receive the remaining vaccines in the U.S., which he chose to do. Now, we are finding that the approved civil surgeons in our area (Jacksonville FL) will not administer the vaccines without making him undergo ANOTHER medical exam. The cost of the vaccines is anywhere between $500-800, is there anywhere we can receive JUST the vaccines and not have to pay an additional $300-$400 for another medical exam?! This seems so excessive, and I am shocked at the cost of the vaccines.

My daughter did her biometrics in February, they didn't do fingerprints just took her picture. Since then it has been crickets from USCIS... until today. I got an email that an action has been taking on her case that needs attention, when I checked it says a biometrics was scheduled. Any idea why she would need a second? She's 13

Hello all, I am the petitioner and my husband s I-130 was approved on September 16, 2024. I received the letter from NVC on September 20, 2024 and paid both fees online (Affidavit of Support & IV) on September 23, 2024. I lost my job which was the employment I indicated on my I-130. I am also a real estate investor however I didn't put self employment in the I-130 because I have not been producing a positive Net income since COVID. My business bank account has some savings and I have 2 rental properties remaining since I sold 2 since 2022. I also have a retirement account. I say all this because I am wondering what I should do from here given the info I have provided? Ive been looking for work since August 2024 and no luck yet. I am aware that the tax documents (transcripts) will show my LLC filing with negative Net income, hence why I never included self employment and only entered W2 salary. Any suggestions based on what I have presented here? Do I move forward with the NVC Affidavit of Support and present assets or should I hold off a bit and see if I land something soon? Looking forward to your replies. Thanks in advance for any solid remedial advice.
