US Immigration from Ivory Coast

Hello everyone

I have a friend who came to the USA with a 10 year tourist visa. But he received a letter a while ago stating that he needs to leave the USA in 6 months and then he can come back again. He s been in the USA for 1 month now. What can he do to prevent leaving . Is this normal for a tourist visa

When transferring from one consulate to another is it okay to just supply the residence permit? I do have the police certificate but it won t be ready for a week. I want to submit transfer with his residence permit first

just a curious question

if you were granted asylum, can you apply for cancellation of removal? or these are two different things?

Quick question about the dv lottery. A friend of mine just got selected. He is in Africa and when he applied initially, he was just married traditionally and has a kid with his wife. They live together and everything but they are just traditionally married. I m not sure if our traditional and religious marriages are recognize by US law but now that he is selected, he will get legally married but the date that will show on the certificate of marriage will be way after his initial application where he did say he was married.
Need advice please
