Hello all,

I came to the US with a k1 visa, got married and filed for the AOS on December 2019. I got my EAD/AP at the end of July 2019. I am guessing, especially considering the emergency, that my GC interview is not coming any time soon. So I was thinking about renewing EAD/AP. Is now a good moment to do it or should I wait closer to the expiration of my EAD/AP so I will get the extension?

Also, can i renew both EAD/AP? Do I have to pay any fee?

I m getting quite confused with the Affidavit of Support and supporting documents, especially because online I ve been finding too much information that sometimes is kind of contradictory.
My fianc is a college student and a military member. He has recently joined, and in the past years being a student he didn t meet the poverty guidelines.
My questions are:

1. Do we need a cosponsor anyway?

I m asking this because I ve been told it would be better, but at the same time he meets the poverty guidelines now and actually will exceed them as well.

2. What kind of documents should we bring exactly? For example, should we include tax returns for this past year even though it doesn t reflect what he has now started earning?

I apologize if this information is already out there somewhere, but just wanted to make sure that I m not doing things the wrong way. Thank you in advance!

Hello, this is my situation.

I got married in October 2019. At that time, I decided to change my last name, so I received the marriage certificate with my new married name.

Right after, I filed for AOS, requesting a name change in all the documents (I 485, I 130, I 131, I 765).

My SSN, driver licence, passport and everything are still on my madein name.

After few months, I am considering to go back to my maiden name. There are multiple reasons: avoiding the troubles of changing my bank accounts, credit cards, passports, SSN.

Moreover my home country doesn't make it easy for a person to change their legal name

Could I request to go back to my maiden name during the AOS interview even if I filed the documents with my married name?
