How to prove you weren't in the Schengen Area before entering the US?

Hey there!
as the travel ban for whoever has been to any of the 26 Schengen states continue, I'm starting to think about the possibility to go in another state like Croatia, Macedonia, Cyprus, Romania, Montenegro, ecc.. and then proceed to the USA.

I was wondering if any of you know the answers to these questions:

1) How can I prove officially my stay in one of the not affected states to the United States?

2) Would I have problems if the flight from Croatia to Miami, for example, made stopovers in countries affected by Trump's ban, but without exiting the airport? (like Croatia-Spain-Miami)

3) Has anyone done this already?

Thank you in advance!

Better to file forms online or to mail them?

Hi guys!

I came to the US almost 3 months ago with ESTA and a week ago my husband and I got married. We decided to stay in the country and file for the AOS

(please note that none of this was planned ahead; we were planning of moving to EU together, but things changed because of the pandemic)

We are filing the forms now and apperently we need to file the i130 (and 130a for me) and the i485. We found out that the first one can be filled out online, but the second one has to be mailed.

Our doubt is weather it is OK to do so... Maybe it's better to print both the forms and mail them? Our preference was to split the procedure as I have only a week left of the 90 days that I can spend here with ESTA and the online procedure makes it faster to start the AOS process, as I can submit my personal documents digitally and we don't need to wait some extra days for the post office to deliver the envelope.

what do you think guys? Any advice? Thank you

Hi all,

I'm in the process of going thorough the AoS via marriage so I'm already in the States; looking to listen to some experiences in getting an Health Insurance that can be considered a positive factor by USCIS but less expensive than $400/month.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Hello,

I'm Angela and I entered the United States, legally, with a Q1 Visa on March 11th. My visa is gonna expired on May 31st and I'm already married to my husband, that is a US citizen. My question is what do I need to do now? I know I need to file the I-130 form and that's all. Unfortunately, we're not able to afford a lawyer, but I'm pretty sure we can do this by our own! Waiting for some reply and I will appreciate your responses :)

Issues with Birth Certificate - Italy

Hey everyone! I am having a little issue with my comune di residenza.

I requested my birth certificate some time ago, making sure to cite Article 3 of Presidential Decree of May 2, 1957 (No. 432) (as stated on travel.state.gov, in the section dedicated to Birth and Death Certificates required by the Italian consulate), however, the clerk gave me my Estratto di nascita, without any reference to the article above.

Therefore, two days ago I requested my birth certificate again. Due to the current situation, I had to schedule an appointment via email, so I made sure to request the certificate with the correct citation, including screenshots from the website and even an example of a birth certificate reporting the article.

Once I went to the comune to pick everything up, I realized they gave me my Estratto di nascita without any citation AGAIN.

They told me, very kindly , that they just release the Estratto and they do not know anything about the citation I need.

I know that people around Italy are able to obtain the correct version fairly easily I just wonder if someone can help find a way to get it. The email I wrote was thorough and comprehensive, showing exactly what I need, but they were refusing to take any extra step to provide me the correct version. This already happened twice and I am really frustrated.

Also, in case my comune won t release the Certificato with the citation, will Estratto work as well?
