US Immigration from Israel

Unfortunately, our AOS package (I-485, I-864, I-130, I-765, I-131 and I-693) is ready only today. It is using the current form editions, the ones that are compatible with filing before the new public charge rules go into effect (our income is borderline for the new rules).

I'm concerned about making it to the deadline. On the I-485 page, USCIS writes:

• We will accept the current edition of this form if it is postmarked on or before Oct. 14, 2019.
• We will not accept it if it is postmarked on or after Oct. 15, 2019.
• A dated receipt from the courier service used (such as UPS, FedEx, or DHL) is equivalent to a U.S. Postal Service postmark.

Since Monday (Oct 14th) is Columbus day, USCIS will be closed. This means that any overnight shipping by a courier sent tomorrow (Friday, the 11th) would actually be received on Tuesday (the 15th). Not good. Therefore it seems that my best bet is to go to USPS and send it as an express certified mail with a return receipt. It also won't arrive before Tuesday, but it will be postmarked tomorrow (the 11th).

Is that the right choice? Any thoughts?

I recently had to renew my passport, we are now waiting for our documents to get to NVC.
Do we need to update them about my new passport number? or do we just include it in the forms they ask us to fill out?

The beneficiary just changed jobs a few months ago. Does he need to update Uscis? Or NVC? Or is there no need?

Our I-130 has just been approved, and we attached the form G-1145 - E-Notification of Application/Petition.
But they didn't email us, so do they actually use it to send any instructions ?
