Has anyone received notices for rescheduled biometrics appointments yet?

We submitted our package on 2/5/2020

Received NOAs on 2/21/2020

Biometrics appointment was scheduled for 3/19/2020; I-131 appointment was scheduled for 3/23/2020

I am eagerly checking the mail. Very happy we got our application running prior to COVID but would love to get the process back on track. I assume we should be close to the front of the line for rescheduling as offices closed on 3/18/2020.

Thanks all. Hope you are all staying safe.

Hello. Can someone answer me on what they mean by tax transcripts? Is that something I can get from TurboTax as proof that I filed? Could I submit a copy of my return? We will also have my step dad sponsor us and wondering what he ll need regarding his taxes? I tried the IRS website but I don t have an American credit card or anything that s American really, as we ve been in ireland for 3 years now. Thank you for you help.

New I-864 for 2019 Tax Year?

Hi everyone.

I m currently filing the I-485 and I received a request for evidence.

They asked us to get a joint sponsor which is fine and we have no queries about that process at the moment, but they also asked for All supporting tax documents for the most recent tax year .

When we filed our I-485 in early April, my husband had not done his 2019 taxes yet. He submitted the documents he had relating to the 2018 tax year (my husband was living and working outside of the US in 2018 so he filed his taxes through an expat tax company. We did not submit the document you can get from the IRS online because we were unaware of it at the time. In hindsight I m sure that is what we should have submitted for the I-864)

By the time we submit the things we need for the RFE, he ll have his 2019 taxes filed. Should we complete a brand new I-864 with a note explaining that he has filed his 2019 taxes in the meantime so here is an updated I-864? Or should we just ignore the 2019 taxes and submit the IRS form for 2018?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Claiming Unemployment during COVID-19 on EAD

Hi there! I received my Advanced Parole EAD and travel permit November 28th 2019 after filing in June 2019. My husband's sister (both are USC) co-signed his petition since his tax return for 2018 did not put his earnings above the required amount to support me. He is a bartender and at the time received all his income (tips) in cash. His sister co-signed and the EAD was successful and now the only thing to wait for is our interview. His current employer taxes his income fully and that is reflected on our most recent joint tax return. I have also been paying into Unemployment insurance (UI) since I came to the US on a J1 graduate work visa in January 2018. I am also a bartender and due to COVID-19, we are both unemployed since March 13th. My husband is claiming his unemployment insurance since April. I applied in mid April and received notice of my claim being approved today May 18th.

Background info aside,

1. Is it a problem for me to be claiming UI even if I am no longer receiving benefits at the time of my interview and the only reason that I claimed it was as a result of the pandemic?

2. Is it potentially damaging to my sister in law for me and/or my husband to be claiming since she is meant to be our financial sponsor?

3. Am I actually entitled to UI if I am being financially sponsored?

TLDR; as a EAD holder waiting on my interview for GC, should I avoid claiming unemployment in case it causes a problem for my application?

Any advice would be really appreciated! Thank you in advance!

My 90 filing window opens in a few days so pulling together all my documents.

I am filling in section on trips outside the USA in last 5 years.

As spouse of USC I have only been LPR for 3 yrs and applying based on that criteria.

Do I still need to put in 5 yrs of periods outside USA? When I would have been living in my home country for the other 2 years.
