Hi all I have dual citizenship and when I applied I was living in Dublin Ireland, now I live in Northern Ireland which is part of the UK. I emailed the Dublin embassy and they said I had to change the case to the London embassy. A request was filled out as per the NVC enquiry form but they have now sent the case to Dublin anyway (In transit). Is anyone aware of how long it will now take to send it to the UK once it gets to Dublin. I can just move back to Dublin in the mean time as I do not need to be in Northern Ireland currently, would this be quicker? Thanks

Hello, A friend of mine and his wife filed i130, i131, i765, i485 in October 2019. Interview was postponed in April 2020 due to COVID, and was rescheduled in January 2021, in Holtsville, NY Field Office. Following the interview, they received an RFE for 2020 IRS transcripts, 1040 and unemployment insurance benefits and end dates. They sent this on February 17th via UPS, and was signed for on February 18th. Since then, there has been no movement on his case. He has contacted both tier 1 and tier 2 agents, and been in touch with his congressperson, but has been stonewalled. He has been told that none of the RFE has been applied to his case, and that he can re submit the documents at this time. His EAD card has expired as of March 2021, and he did not file an extension, as he was told by his lawyer that, due to the AOS interview, it could potentially complicate the process. He is undergoing extreme financial hardship at the moment, as he is unable to work, and his wife is still on a low UI benefit. Can anyone please provide me with any potential avenues to pursue in assisting my friend? Thanks

It's been a bad time to be a prospective immigrant from Ireland, with all the covid restrictions, the seemingly endless lockdowns, the embassy delays; I know there have been times I've been so frustrated with this country that I forget how beautiful and peaceful it is. If the news/officials are to be believed, then lockdown restrictions should be easing soon, so hopefully that signals travel again! I know we're all mostly trying to get out of Ireland, but before we go, what are some must-see or otherwise nice places to visit? So that when the time finally comes to leave, we can go knowing that we got a solid Irish experience. Please share places you've been, what you recommend, what you don't, where you want to go, anything about experiencing Ireland. Let's forget about covid for now, and remember what lies 5km+ away! I can't wait to leave the house again.

First, The NVC Process Wiki seems to incorrectly label (via underline) "AOS" in step six as "Adjustment of Status" when I believe it's meant to be read as "Affidavit of Support." Second, in relation to the underlining/defining/highlighting of acronymed terms, I find them handy as I am still learning the lingo/shorthand myself, but they aren't expansive. Acronym Summary Page lists AOS as meaning both Adjustment of Status AND Affidavit of Support, but the underlined only lists the former. AP, which follows, similarly has two meanings, but isn't underlined at all. Would it be too much trouble to expand the acronyms that are defined via hovering with the cursor? Third, similar to the other thread on showing dates on searched threads, I think it'd be helpful to have a "current as of [date]" note at the top of each wiki/guide, for the same reason that immigration info seems to be always changing. A final request/suggestion: a feature that would allow us to save threads, that doesn't involve following. I currently use a mixture of following threads, bookmarking pages, and emailing the links to myself to keep threads I want to reference later. Being able to privately organize the saved threads would be a nice feature too, like being able to tag or put into different holding containers. For example, if I have a number of threads I reference related to the NVC process, I could put it under an NVC container. This also seems like it could be a thing that is satisfied by the follow feature that I just need to learn, but following to me seems like something one does to active threads, not to old threads. Please forgive me/correct me if the stuff I'm going on about already has a solution or a workaround; these are just some of the things I'm picking up on now that I've been on here a few months. I'm growing to really enjoy this site, so please don't take this as complaining or anything of that sort. Thank you to everyone who has had a hand in keeping this such a good resource for those of us on this confusing and lengthy journey!
