Hi everyone!!

I m looking for some shared experiences / knowledge!

I have an L-1 non-immigrant visa interview scheduled for September in Dublin. Does anyone know if these standard non-immigrant visa interviews are currently going ahead? Is this likely to be cancelled closer to the time?

To me, the website seems fairly unclear if they have actually resumed processing at a limited capacity, or if they are still cancelling these non-immigrant interviews as they approach. The recent block cancellations in London has made me wonder if my September date is actually expected to go ahead or if it's just a hopeful pencil in.

Thank you all!

How to handle arrest but no charges on I-751 form

My husband was arrested during a traffic accident 3.5 weeks ago. Still no charges filed -- he has called twice and they have nothing to say--just nothing in the system yet. It's possible no charges will be filed. Do we indicate that he was arrested? No fingerprints or anything were taken, but he was taken to jail and then released....I don't want to LIE and not include it, but they say to have a letter from the court if no charges were filed, and I have zero idea how to get that. His GC expires 9/26 so we want to send the i-751 in the week after next (start of the 90 day window). Any advice?

The question is:

Have you ever been arrested, detained, charged, indicted, fined, or imprisoned for breaking or violating any law or ordinance (excluding traffic regulations), or committed any crime which you were not arrested in the United States or abroad?

We would answer yes. But the application instructions say: If you have ever been arrested or detained by any law enforcement officer for any reason, either in the United States or abroad, and no charges were filed, submit an original official statement by the arresting agency or applicable court order confirming that no charges were filed.

Charges may still be filed, so I'm totally confused...

Police certs and citizenship confusion

This is a random one but hoping someone has some knowledge on this:

I am preparing for my CR1 interview next week and while double checking the documents I need to prep I noticed this "POLICE CERTIFICATES: Each applicant aged 16 years or over is required to submit a police certificate from all other countries where the applicant has resided for at least six months and any country they are a citizen of.

My father is Italian and I have had italian passports as a child (last one expired around 10-15 years ago) I am not sure what my status is (if I am an italian citizen/national by blood). I have never lived in Italy...Do I need to obtain an italian police certificate?

I-134 for London

Hi All

My fianc has sent his I-134 over to me with supporting documents. He has not been able to get a letter from his employer and only sent a copy of his work contract. He also did not fill in 'n/a' on any empty box on the I-134. His w2 and bank statements are all print offs as he said he cannot get them on headed paper its all paperless. Some of his accounts are also still registered to his mum's house and not his new address. I'm very worried now that we will get refused because to me it just does not follow the instructions as listed on the I-134 site. We are running out of time before the interview to get all this ready. Does anyone have any advice to give on this e.g. fill out and print the I-134 again or just reprint some pages and add n/a. Also would a contract be acceptable over an employer letter?

thanks

Passport Application and Travel Stamp in Passport

Quick question that someone may be able to help with

I have my citizenship interview on July 20th and its my understanding that the local office are doing the oath there and then to avoid a crowd at a ceremony

I am due to travel to Ireland on August 11th

I will be applying for my new US passport immediately but will still hold my Irish one. My issue is that my Green card will be handed in at the interview/Oath taking and i cant travel on my Irish passport without a stamp/green card

I also wont have an original cert of naturalization due to US passport application

So my options are

  • Get stamp in passport
  • Don't take oath and hold my Green Card and await a ceremony appt
  • Don't apply for US passport right away and hold my Naturalization cert till I return 9will still need stamp I think)

Any suggestions
