US Immigration from Ireland

Hi all.

I recently had my biometrics appointment after filing AOS for K1. The officer said my hands were sweaty and my finger prints may be rejected and I may have to redo biometrics. I have sweaty hands whether I'm nervous or not but it doesn't affect me too much in general normally. I am worried that if I have to redo biometrics the problem will be the same. It was an issue at the embassy but the lady just persisted but today the guy just said to wait and see what they say. Has anyone else had this issue?

We are December filers but I am putting together all my documents to be sent. I have a few questions on what was done by others. Specifically, I was going to use a 3-ring binder to hold the documents but then was concerned about having to punch holes in everything.

1. Did you use a 3 -ring binder or something else?

2. If you used a binder and used plastic sleeves to hold the exhibits, what did you do with your bank statements or deed? Did every page of the statement or deed have a separate sleeve?

3. What did you do with the I751 document? Did you put each page in a separate sleeve or did you do something different with it?

4. Did anyone blank out their credit card numbers except for their last 4 digits or should I leave all the numbers showing?

Anyone wishing to share how they sent their prepared package would be appreciated. I have loads of pages to send as evidence so all good there. Just looking for how to put it together to send.

Oh and in case anyone is wondering, we used a lawyer up until now for personal reasons. I know now this is a DIY and wont pay for anyone again.

I hope someone can help me as I'm getting desperate and increasingly frustrated.

I received my interview date, finally, after over 18 months of working through the visa process, however they only gave me a weeks notice and since I work offshore and am currently in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, I cannot make the date and need to reschedule.

I have registered my appointment as I read that once you registered you would have options available to reschedule the date, however I cannot find any options on the website to do this. There is no way to change the date.

I tried calling the contact number but I only get an automated voice telling me things that I already know and I cannot for the life of me get through to a real person, and believe me, I've tried all the options, it just cuts me off eventually.

I sent an email but they say it can take up to 5 working days, considering that I got my date on Friday evening and it was a bank holiday on Monday past, 5 days is too long as my date is scheduled for this coming Monday.

If i miss the appointment, what will happen? Will they just reject my application? It's taken me so long to get to this point, I just want to be able to live with my husband and actually have a life together, I can't risk losing this.

Hello, my fiance and I have recently been approved our K1 visa. The expiry date on the visa is in 11weeks time? We didn't realize that the visa could expiry within in 6 months. We want to confirm that the expiry date means the final date that I have to entry the US by correct?

My fianc and I just received our packet 3 from Dublin and are looking at any extra police certificates he may need. He lived in Amsterdam for 6 1/2 months years back and we don t know if we should be getting one from the Netherlands. Parts of the the packet mention to get a police certificate for anywhere lived for more than 6 months, but the table they ve included says 12 months for a different country. Anyone know which we should go by?
