Hello everyone, I hope this is the right section, if not my apologies! I am writing today regarding a RFE for my I-693. The note says: Submit a completed Form I-693, Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record. The medical that you submitted to the consulate was signed by the physician more then 1 year from when you submitted form I-485, therefore you must submit form I-693. A USCIS civil surgeon must complete and sign the form, and you must also sign the form. If the civil surgeon refers you to a specialist, the specialist must include his or her medical exam results and complete the proper sections of the Form I-693 before the civil surgeon may sign the form. Once everyone has signed, the civil surgeon will place the completed Form I-693 in a sealed envelope and give it to you. You must submit the sealed envelope containing the original Form I-693 that the civil surgeon signed and the medical exam results; we will NOT accept photocopied Form I-693 and medical exam results. Civil surgeons must use the current Edition of Form I-693. You can find the current edition of Form I-693 on USCIS s website at www.uscis.gov. In addition, the civil surgeon must ensure that all parts of Form I-693 were properly completed. Please Note: All Forms I-693 signed by civil surgeons on or after October 5, 2022 must use the 07/19/2022 edition of Form I-693. USCIS will not accept the 09/13/2021 version (or any previous editions) if the civil surgeon signed the Form I-693 after October 4, 2022. Therefore, the civil surgeon administering your immigration medical examination must complete and sign the 07/19/2022 edition of the Form I-693. I was surprised to receive this note for the following reasons: 1. My physician signed the I-693 on 6/29/21 and I submitted form I-485 on 12/21/21, only 6 months after and not more than 1 year later as stated in the RFE 2. In addition, the USCIS website states that I-693 is valid for 2 years, from the website: We generally consider a completed Form I-693 to remain valid for two years after the date the civil surgeon signed Form I-693 (https://www.uscis.gov/i-693) 3. Moreover, the same website states: From Dec. 9, 2021 until Mar. 31, 2023, we are temporarily waiving the requirement that the civil surgeon s signature be dated no more than 60 days before you file Form I-485. Should I still book another appointment for I-693 or talk to a lawyer? I feel overwhelmed by this never-ending process and would appreciate your thoughts on this. Thank you.

Interview and medical completed and was told during the interview that all is good. Case was updated twice but status remained on `"READY" for nearly a month. Anyone with same experience?

Hi! My wife(Shari - USC) and I(Irish) are thinking about beginning the process, with the children, to move to the US this year as we heard it can be a lengthy process. We have a son (7 months) who is already a duel citizen. I have a son(15) and a daughter(12) from a previous relationship who are flirting with the idea of moving after they finish high school here. Shari's folks are willing to be our co-sponsors for the application and the household income is a multiple of the poverty line. I've been contracting to a US company from Ireland for a few years through an Irish umbrella company, paying tax in Ireland, and they're anxious that I become their W-2 employee once we move over and they are willing to provide anything I need for the application such as affidavit of guaranteed income etc. My questions are as follows: - Can I add my income to the I-864 form in the household income section with the US company stating in an affidavit they have been contracting me and employment once I land?
- If my two kids are on the same application, can they come back an forth every couple of months to finish school here with their green card? They'd be out of the country(US) no more than 4 months continuous or 9 months of the year in total. Our thoughts are to avoid having to get them visas at a later date and ensure they're set up for college when ready.
- I have consent from my kids mother if they choose to come and can have whatever needed in writing, is there form or anything legal that she would need to complete?
Appreciate the attention in advance! James

Hey everyone, I was wondering if you could guide me? I placed an expedited request for advanced parole in September with no update until today. They sent the email to the wrong address and are looking for evidence. I am wanting to return home for a very close family wedding and I am wondering want evidence would be required for such request? Thank you

Hello all, Newbie here, I need some advice about the Adjustment of Status through marriage. I met my other half in 2021 in California while I was on a visit (VWP). I reentered the US earlier this year on an H-2B visa currently working in Pennsylvania, we got married in Oct 2022 in California. My spouse is a US citizen and she works full-time in California but unfortunately, my visa ties me to the work location and switching employer/location is complex. Eventually, I want to move to California and this leads us to AOS! I recently had consultations with a couple of attorneys here in Pennsylvania but got a few conflicting advice But I heard people in this forum are kind and helpful so, here hoping someone can shed some light on the below and any tips The conflicting advice is about the field office location for the interview. Attorney A says the field office/Interview will be at Pennsylvania as I-485 is based on my address. Attorney B, on the other hand, says the field office will be in California as the petitioner is based there and that if I want the attorney to be at the interview it would cost extra for his time, travel and stay etc. We are fine with either location but what I don't want to do is hire a lawyer who is not familiar with or has less experience with the marriage-based AOS process. And before you ask the reason to hire an attorney, there are a couple of potential issues (red flags) which I will save it for next conversation Thank you in advance
