This is a very recent update and doesn't seem to align exactly with what people here are saying about applying for AP while adjusting status (I'm personally interested in the K-1 AOS case). The relevant part of the instructions is below. It says that your reason for applying must be a personal or family emergency or bona fide business reasons. Further on in the instructions, it does state that you may attach a reason for the AP or proof that you filed I-485 (I'm told it is enough proof to file these concurrently). My question is, was the instruction page always like this? Should I leave date, expected length of trip and purpose of trip sections blank in the form itself? I know people had said previously that you can fill it out like this but I didn't find any forum posts since the date of the current form so I was a bit spooked. Thanks!

Hep B vaccination for adjustment of status medical |

Hey, so I'm applying soon for my adjustment of status, and had my medical for my K1 visa less than a year ago. At the time I only had my first Hep B vaccine, and so got the waiver for not having all of them since there is time between each vaccination. I've now had my second hep B vaccination but won't have my third by the time I submit. My question is will I be required to get a USCIS civil surgeon to sign off on me not having the third hep B vaccine or will it be enough to submit the waiver from the first doctor and evidence of my second hep B vaccine? Thanks!

I see that VJ has a timeline section for form I-131 (AP) which is has locations down as local field offices rather than the national benefits center. As I understand it, the National Benefits Center is processing the I-131 right now, and not the local field offices? Can someone correct me on this or inform me more as to how this works? I'm going to be filing my application for AP in early November and hoping to have it by August, but judging by the USCIS website 80% are done within 11.5 months. So seems unlikely that I'll have it in time, right? Too big a risk to plan a trip in August? Anyone get their AP recently, when did you first apply? Thanks guys

Hi there, I've been reading through the forum today and decided to make my own post to get some advice just to ensure my own situation fits. I arrived about a month ago on an ESTA to visit my boyfriend. Last week he proposed and we're discussing how we should proceed. I've pushed my flights back by a bit (still within my 90 days) to give us more time to enjoy the engagement and see what we want to do. We're mainly looking at us getting married and me applying for AOS. I still have a lot going on at home including a job, car, pets etc. that will all have to be considered but just want to see what options are available to me. I've seen something about a 90 day rule in terms of getting married and some people say its real or that it's not. I'm just wondering if that's a thing I'd rather not overstay my esta and would rather file before it expired. Any advice would be much appreciated. I mainly just want to know would it be ok for us to go ahead with getting married and applying for AOS?

Hi all, I finally received my form I-797 (NOA2) from the USCIS. I was a little confused though as the form states "The above petition has been approved, and forwarded to the listed consulate. Please contact the consulate with any questions about Visa issuance or if you would now Ike them to forward the petition to a different consulate." Does this mean my application is not being sent to the NVC? If not, why was my application sent directly to the consulate? The consulate is not stated on the I-797 so does this mean it went to the consulate in my original application? NOA2 was July 29th, about how long does it take for the consulate to receive my application? I have contacted the Dublin embassy by e-mail for further clarification but hope to get answers here in the meantime. Many thanks!
