Hello, has anyone ever received this notification when checking for interview dates? " You have exceeded the limit for viewing this page and your limit will be reset as of tomorrow"

I logged in twice today so I was wondering if it resets after 24 hours.

Thank you!

Bringing used household goods into US

Hello all,

I've moved to the US 3 years ago, but I'm planning to bring back some used household goods from my previous residence in Canada. Those will mainly be some books, video tapes and documents. I think I will just put them into a baggage with my flight back to US.

If it's unaccompanied goods, I know about the Form 3299. But these are now accompanied household goods, do I need to declare and is there a form to fill in?

Hello...Welcome!

For those who have just filed your I-129f application with USCIS, this thread has been created for your needs and for you to be with others experiencing different aspects of this journey. This is a place to ask questions and to share experiences. All are here to learn together.

Stay patient because this is a long process currently running 12-16 months for your NOA2 or petition approval by USCIS (first stage). Then your petition will be sent to NVC which runs about 6-8 weeks processing (second stage) and finally your interview at the embassy (third stage). Also, do not compare yourself to others....Some will receive NOA-2 faster than others, some will be stuck at NVC for longer and then finally some will receive interviews fairly quickly at embassy. STAY PATIENT!

Please create the timeline in your profile. Also note that USCIS goes by "Received date" :

Example

I-129 F Sent August 14, 2023

I-129 F Received August 16, 2023 (NOA-1)

I-129 F - Notice Date August 18, 2023

In this example your NOA-1 should be August 16th. This will help you fill out your timeline properly.

Rescheduling CR1 interview to a later date?

Hello, due to some family matters I am considering rescheduling my CR1 interview to later in the year. I've read on visajourney that most people just wait until their interview appointment has passed before rescheduling a new interview, however, when I contacted my embassy, they've been giving me conflicting advice.

They first mentioned that "The visa appointment cannot be re-scheduled unless the failure to appear for the interview is due to reasons beyond the applicant s control, such as serious personal illness" and that if I fail to appear at the interview, my case will be cancelled "subject to Section 203(g) of the US immigration and Nationality Act". However, after asking for more information, I was told that I could reschedule my appointment on their online system, and that I should check their schedule periodically for future appointment slots.

Has anyone had experience with rescheduling their interview at a later date, and were there any issues with this? Or is completely depending on each embassy's rules/policies? I'm just very worried of breaking any rules and potentially jeopardizing my visa, and the embassy only allows communication via email so there's been a lot of back and forth communication and the rules are super confusing.

Thank you!
