Hi all, I am in a dilemma... my N400 was approved in 2023 and finally received the Oath ceremony is scheduled in February. However, I have internation travel plan late March (part business part lesiure). While I am excited to become a citizen, I believe at the Oath Ceremony, I will need to turn in my green card... which also mean I don't have travel documents and I will not be able to apply for a US passport in time. What would you recommend? Is it difficult to get the Oath Ceremony to be rescheduled? Or is there a way I can still travel without US passport even though I will become US citizen. TIA!

I have tried over and over and over to get information on my wife's 10-year Green Card. It's been over 5 years since we filed. USCIS sent her Green Card after waiting over a year for it to a previous address that we were forced out of by property management in order to renovate the apartment. After over a year of waiting they finally get off their butts and send it at the same time we are being kicked out. We changed our address immediately, but it was too late. Trying to even get a document number for proof for my federal employment has been a pain in the ###. I don't know where to turn. I can't log-in online at myUSCIS because they won't send me a verification code. I'm losing opportunities because of this #######, and it's pissing me off. I don't think it's fair that USCIS decides to send a very important document over the mail 18 months after applying at exactly the same time we are being kicked out of our apartment.

Hi VJ members, On N-400, the question of Part 12, 9 - "Have you EVER been a member of, involved in, or in any way associated with any organization, association, fund, foundation, party, club, society, or similar group in the United States or in any other location in the world?" I checked on the DS-260 I filed. The similar question asked was "Have you belonged to, contributed to, or worked for any professional, social or charitable organization? My answer was NO. I realized I missed to mention an arts organization which I joined many years ago (outside US). Should I mention it on N-400? I read many threads here that it's good to be consistent with other forms filed before. Appreciate if anyone can share their experiences on this question. Many thanks.

Hello, I will be doing my visa interview next week and assuming all goes well (I've done the medical and have all the documentation ready), I will be granted the CR1 visa shortly. However, I am not planning to travel/move to the US until March of next year, which will be a few weeks after my 2nd wedding anniversary. A few questions: 1. Will I be automatically granted an IR1 visa upon arrival in the US, or is this something that I will need to bring up to the CBP officer? 2. If for some reason the CBP officer is not aware of the CR1 to IR1 conversion rule, and only grants me a CR1 visa, is there anything I can do to convert it afterwards? 3. What happens after I arrive in the US with my CR1 visa? Do I just hand over all documentation etc to the CBP officer, is there another interview etc? Thank you so much in advance!

Hi everyone, I planned to submit my N-400 online today. I will be travelling outside US tomorrow (for 10 days). I checked in this forum most people who were processed in my local office got their biometrics appt 3-4 weeks after filing. Is there any concern that I should wait until I return from my trip to file? Thanks for your help in advance.
