US Immigration from Hong Kong

Hi everyone,

Please let me know if im posting it on the wrong forum. But my question is, if I arrive in the states and need to be quarantined for 14 days (which is required in the state that my fiance lives in), I get tested before we get married, and what would happen, if God Forbid, I tested positive? What would the procedure be? Would they make me leave the country at that point? Will it affect the adjustment of status process (i.e. the medical form)?

Obviously, I would be super careful on my travels to the states, but what if I catch it?

Hi everyone, I got some questions when filling out the I-864 form.

We are applying the IR-1 visa and currently in the NVC process. My husband (the petitioner) lives with me here in Hong Kong before and he went back to the US since April to take care of his mother during this pandemic. They live at the same house in the US. I'm preparing the I-864 form and we might need his mother to be our joint sponsor. My question is should we let her fill out the I-864 or I-864A form??

i have submit my 1-130 form for Cr1 in end Feb and receive NOA1 on Mar2020. Then no more update...Anyone have experience that how long will receive the NOV2 now? My friend received the NOV1 on December 2019 and now still waiting for NOV2, the priority date is earlier than processing time now... so wondering if it will delay a long time due to covid-19?

So we ve got our interview date for next Monday. We were only notified on Tuesday. And I m trying to pay the 265 fianc visa fee via ustraveldocs account. Now it kept popping up saying that I have to double check whether my ds160 barcode matches the information and numbers on this ustraveldoc account, the problem is there s no page where I can double check that on my account?! I tried clicking update profile but it doesn t show anything related to confirmation number or ds160 barcode. It also said if I paid my fee and they don t match I may be denied and will not be able to attend the interview. Now I m panicking about that because I had a ds160 form for travel b2 visa from way back in 2015 and I m scared that this account didn t update the ds160. It s also been so long since I ve completed the ds160, I don t remember if I had created any other ds160 but never completed it.

so my question is, do I create a completely new ustraveldoc account? (Which on the site it says don t do that)

or pay the fees and hope for the best?

The worst part is it s a 4 days holiday here this week so I can not contact the us embassy at all until next Monday which is my interview day.

Can I work remotely for a company in my home country after I move to the US as a green card holder? It will be a short-term arrangement for a few months. I will file tax in both my home country and in U.S. (such as worldwide income).
