Hi Visa Journey, Apologies if this has been asked before, I tried to search for an answer, but couldn't quite find it. We are currently in the process of uploading the documents to the CEAC portal, and with regards to the financial sponsors proof of US citizenship, we plan to upload a copy of their passport. I would like to clarify if by "copy", they mean a full scanned copy of the passport i.e. every page? Or just the page with the biographic information. As when we filed our I-130 petition, we had to submit a full copy of the passport. Kind Regards,

Hi guys, Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe. I just received a notification that my I-485 is being actively reviewed and nothing is outstanding at this time . I presume this is usually a good news but its troubling me because i got REF on Dec 16 and didn t sumbit requested evidence. fyi, REF was regarding my birth certificate (which was in line with the guidance and was planning to submit the exact same docs) and the affidavit of support (my husband makes enough income but his fed tax filing hasn t been properly recorded due to his overseas residence and it is being processed by the irs. We also explained the situation in the application and submitted evidences of other financial assets). I spoke with a live agent via chart about this but she just recommended to response to the ref and disconnected the chat.. Did anyone have the same issue? Can i take the latest update nothing is outstanding at face value and not submit previously requested evidence? If it s the case nothing is outstanding, I just don t want to respond to an REF and create any confusion to my case... Appreciate any thoughts / advice.. Thanks so much!!

My fiance and I are trying to figure out how to get her police records from China for our K-1 visa. She currently lives and works in Hong Kong, but her mother can get them in china from her home province (Hunan) when she returns there for chinese new year. The confusion we are facing is my fiance lived in another province (Canton) province during her time as a student, and that's where her family currently lives though her chinese residency (Hukou) is still in Hunan. We can't find any information about this online, but will she require police records from both Hunan and Canton province? Covid in general is making gathering these documents very difficult as she needs to rely on her family to help her.

My adopted daughter recently landed and immigrated to US last Tuesday under IR2 Visa. In accordance with my instruction on her DS 260, her SSN card will be sent to our home address without separate application at local SSN office. Any idea how long it will take to receive it in Bay Area, CA? I tried to contact our local SSN office but in vain that always line busy and cut calls afterward. My understanding is that she is below 18 and meets the Child Citizenship Act of 2000 eligibility that entitled her citizenship automatically. I called USCIS and the lady advised us to file N600 for her certificate of citizenship (around 21months waiting time in CA) which deviate from what I was told by the agent of the Consulate General of Hong Kong who said the cert would be issued to us directly. Besides USCIS told us she is also required to file and pay for her permanent resident card at $220, I would have thought it was covered by the DS 260 application fees and the card will be send to our address. Do we need to file the N600 and permanent resident card for her? Would anyone kindly provide us some expertise advice? Many thanks

Hello everyone. I know by posting here will be my best and reliable option of getting a definite and true answer. So we are already marries through K1 fiancee visa and we already submitted the AOS and my wife had a biometric already last November 30th. Our case status still says actively reviewing and Our records show nothing is outstanding at this time. I am a US Citizen and I am disabled but still currently working 40hrs a week and annual income is $27,000 a year. However due to my serious medical health condition this past few months I am not able to work completely 40hrs a week and then I just started my approved continuous leave through FMLA monday of December 13th up to January 31st as my body has been suffering more pain and weakness due to my serious health medical condition and possible I might extend my continuous leave depending on my body condition. Now I am not sure yet if I can be approved also on my short term disability on my work insurance to get paid while I am on leave. So I am not sure how can I pay my bills or sustain our needs and necessities. I know as a petitioner we are obligated to support our beneficiary but this is unforeseen serious medical health condition of mine. Now my question is, if in case I would try to apply some grants from the government like food stamps is it going to affect my wife s AOS application to be denied? Is there any kinds of grants that you can help and suggest me which one I can get that will not affect our AOS application? We are currently living and located in Morristown Tennessee. Just today I got approved on the EBB program of Straightalk service by showing my three months pay stub that I am only earning less than 40hrs a week. I hope this is not going to affect my wife s AOS application by me receiving this EBB program? Thank you so much I hope somebody can help me and guide me and gave me a definite and exact and true answer here as I am not originally from here in United States so I have a very little knowledge about here in United States so I am asking a guidance here. God bless.
