A friend is in a long term relationship with a lady in the Dominican Republic. She has children from a previous marriage. She has been divorced for three years. Which process would be easiest overall, not so much from a sense of time alone, but from scrutiny from the relationship? They have plenty of conversations, visits to the US etc etc. should they get married there and do a K visa? Or is adjustment of status from marriage here better. She has a tourist visa and has visited and returned several times. Thanks.

My fianc and I are now in the stage where we're ready to schedule our interview! Hooray! But we see that SEVERAL people are in the same position and they are also trying to get an interview scheduled. Has anyone noticed a pattern on when the block of interviews are typically released? I saw one site share for F interviews they refresh every other Wednesdays around noon. Has anyone seen something similar for K-1 interviews? We're trying to figure out if there is a pattern...not just when a spot may randomly open up because someone cancelled.

First off I don't know if this should go into the Work Visa forum or here...please forgive me if wrong. Me (US Citizen) and my fiance (Honduran) have been together for almost 9 months now. We have been working on preparing our K1 Visa application (not submitted) when he got approved for a 6-month H2B work visa. He is now in the US working at the same job he worked at last Summer when we met. I have visited him twice in Honduras as well as the US. Some of his family and coworkers have told him that we could get married and he would be able to stay legally while paperwork is processed. I love him and would marry him today if it doesn't complicate or ruin any future chances of a green card. We want to get married while he is here on the H2B visa. Is this a bad idea? I have so many questions! 1. What would the process change to from the K1? 2. Could he travel back and forth (sick parent) at all back to Honduras during this time? Advice and suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, My sister, my brother in law and their 3 children were on a car accident on June 18th, 2023, since my brother in law died and my sister is heavily injured I tried to ask for an emergency visa (here in my country helps to bring forward the visa date that you already have) but they denied my request, I went to the immigration and external affairs here in my country (Honduras) and they explained to me that I can request for a humanitary visa, but when I look for the information on the webpage it said that it takes from 90 to 120 days to give you a date for the interview, and my normal visa appointment is on August 29, so I wanted to ask what other thing I can do so I can bring my Visa appointment closer since my sister needs help, because 2 of my nephew's are autistic and her daughter is 1 year old and she will not be able to walk for 3 to 4 months while she is recovering.

Getting prepared to petition for USC s parents. They came to the US uninspected over 30 years ago, left voluntarily 29 years ago without coming to the attention of CBP or USCIS (no removal/entry denial records). One parent did fly back home out of the US. Does this get reported by their best memory? Not sure if there s any documentation to use, since there are no A numbers or Social Security numbers to work with. I thought of doing a FOIA request but I don t know if a name and birthdate with no other identifying information are enough. Has anyone on here worked with this situation before?
