Hello everyone, hope someone can help.. We filed I 485 with I 765 and I 131 back in February. But didn t include my medicals in the package, since I was still missing some vaccines. I had the medical examination in Germany back in October (so it s about to be one year), and I m trying really hard to find a surgeon here in the USA to file I 693 for me without having an additional examination! I m in Houston, Tx - any recommendation? ..when does my medical from Germany expire?

Hi! We are applying for an AOS from a J-1 visa (we already got the 2 year residency requirement waived). I am a US citizen and we are applying from within the US. I am mostly worried about whether I've captured everything we need for the I-131 and I-765 forms... thanks!!!!!

Hello there, my fianc and I are getting married in June 2021. We currently live in Germany and we try to move to the US in June. Now with Covid we are unsure about the wedding being placed in America. We already talked about having a civil wedding in Germany and move afterwards. I tried to research a little bit in advance but couldn t figure out what would be the best option. As I understand it s easier to get the K1 and get married in America instead of having a civil wedding in Germany. Is that correct? My fianc wants to travel back home next year in January to get everything going (Job, living situation...) All the forms and applications are confusing. Maybe there is someone else with the same situation right now or has been there recently who can help us. I m thankful for any help and sorry if that topic has already been talked about and I couldn t figure out where to find it. Stay safe Jess & Nick

My parents arrived in the US in June 2020, they check marked SSN processing on their DHS application and despite many calls to SSA offices, their SSN application at port of entry probably has been lost due to technical glitch between DHS and SSA systems. Many phone calls to SSA have been producing conflicting information about them needing to go in person to SSA office as first time immigrants to apply for SSN once they reopen, some say they can apply by mail, some say they can t apply by mail. What is the best way for them to get a SSN so they can apply for drivers license, get bank accounts etc? Also, if they still have no SSN by next year, how the hell can they submit a tax return? As green card holders they re not eligible for ITIN.
