I filed for AOS back in February and still waiting to be rescheduled for biometrics in Houston. I ve called USCIS multiple times. Every time they tell me something different. It s either that I ve gotten reschuled for my appointment and the mail is on its way, or the mail got sent back to them, or an office should call me back within 48h but never calls. I ve heard a getting a lawyer might accelerate your case?! Does anyone have experience with this?

I ve gotten this far with no immigration lawyer, should I really consider one now?

hello everyone, :)

Since I had to prepare/ order police certificates from four different countries for my husband, I decided to get one country off the checklist soon. My husband got his police clearance certificate from Dubai (UAE). He got the certificate within 1-2 days electronically through his personal email. The police certificate clearly states that since this is an electronic version, it will not have a stamp, it was issued for the purpose of immigrating to the US and that the certificate is valid only for 3 months. My husband is not planning to go back to UAE to visit or reside. My I-130 is not even approved yet.

Will NVC accept this certificate when I come to the NVC stage? I ask because it says only 3 months on the certificate.

Thanks again, all. Hope all are doing well and staying safe.

Cheers.

I just wanted to know from anyone who has this experience already. What s it like living in Germany as a US citizen with 2 US citizen children? Will it be hard? Would I be able to become a resident of Germany easily? Anyone who knows the laws and rules regarding this topic and can help me out, please do so. I will appreciate it.
I am considering moving to Germany in February with my 2 kids if we do not hear anything back from the US Consulate with our K1 Visa by then.
