Hello everyone! happy Friday! So after almost 19 months of administrative processing, my fianc e and I have received an email today asking him to come for a second interview after we inquired about having our case expedited. However, the issue is that they have set up the interview for next Thursday which is like less than a week, and they want him to bring a documentation and I am not sure if he d be able to obtain some of these documents like the medical examination and police certificate in less than a week. Does anyone know if it would be possible to obtain a police certificate and medical examination in less than a week? Also, should he just go to the interview even if he doesn t gather all of the documentation? And then send it over to the embassy once he does.

So my husband has been living in the US legally since January 2015. He's been eligible to naturalization for over a couple of years, but we've procrastinated due to work and recently adding a LITTLE ONE to the family as of 2018 (yay!). Now that we moved into a bigger house and are settling in, he's decided he won't even bother submitting a Bbg with the German government to retain his citizenship. He's warmed up to calling America his permanent home, so he's prepared to move forward with his N-400 packet. Wish us luck! His is a pretty simple app since we've both only been married to each other, no criminal records, always paid taxes, recorded address changes, signed up for SSS, etc.

Hello everyone, I am a German citizen married to an USC. I was working in Canda and goy stranded in the States after the borders closed. After I found out that I could not get a renewal of my work visa in Canda due to Covid, I conntacted a lawyer. I asked him if my overstay would have any consequences and if the marriage that we were planning would actually be legal (I entered the US on a visa waiver). His answer was that if my overstay is less than 6 months, it will not have any cosequences and there should be no problems regaring the marriage. BUT he advised me to go back to Germany, so I would not overstay more than the six months. So after our marriage I returned back to Germany. Me and my husband started the process of filing for the I-130 and I-130 A and decided to get help through boundless. Today I received an email from them telling me they cannot proceed helping us, because the case is too complicated due to the overstay of 180 days. My lawyer was always talking of 6 months and not 180 days, so I find myself now in what I feel like a very screwed up situation, afraid that I will face a 3 year bann to the US. Does anyone have experience applying for a Marriage Green Card from abroad with an overstay? My first reaction was to look for a lawyer, but reading through the forum, I got pretty discouraged with everyone saying that a lawyer just complicates the process. And I also feel like my lawyer's advise to leave the country was wrong. I would be very very thankful for your help!

Hey guys, just wanted to make a post since my AP finally concluded after a year and a half of waiting since my first interview! A month ago I got an email from the consulate saying they are ready for final processing of my visa, so I ended up sending in some updated documents and redoing my medical, went in for a second interview and got approved! Visa arrived less than a week ago and I am now already in the USA with my spouse, could not be happier! Just felt inclined to post about my approval to give some hope to all of you still waiting in that demoralizing and nerve-wrecking process that is AP. I know how difficult it is and I know how hopeless it sometimes felt. That's why I'm making this post, because it always gave me hope to read about someone getting approved after all that waiting. Wish you guys all the best and a speedy end to AP, it could happen any time, you won't even see it coming!
