Hello everyone! I am currently writing my Master's thesis at a Germany university and have miraculously found a great case study in the US, in the city my US partner lives in. Therefore, I am planning on traveling to the US late April - early July (10 weeks, 72 days total) to 1. conduct research (qualitative interviews) and work on my thesis, and 2. to see my US partner of while doing that. I am enrolled at uni, have a part time job in Germany that let's me take time off for the 72 days visit due to overtime hours and vacation time, and have my own apartment in Germany. My partner and I have two invitations to family celebrations in October that we would both like to attend in the US. That would be a 2 weeks trip. After reading a lot about denied entries on ESTA in the news lately, I am very worried that I may get denied entry if I would travel to the US again in October after such an extended trip. I am enrolled at uni, have a part time job in Germany that let's me take time off for the 72 days visit due to overtime hours and vacation time, and have my own apartment in Germany. We are not planning on living in the US together, the long term plan is that he will migrate to Germany. Do you all think that I should shorten this upcoming trip to 8 weeks or less if I would like to visit again in October for 2 weeks? Thank you very much in advance!! My past travel history to the US: - Was an exchange student during my Bachelor's degree several years ago - Visited multiple times for 2-4 weeks before COVID - Visited last year in June for 3 weeks

Hello everyone! My pending I-130 for my immigrant husband has officially hit the 15th month mark as of a couple of days ago. I have seen others with the same PD as myself get their approvals on here in the past couple of days but their cases were at different service centers. I am trying to get a better picture as to where Potomac is currently at on their I-130 processing. The last time I heard anything was back on August 28th, 2024 and they were currently processing May 14, 2023 I-130's.

Hey everyone, I need some advice regarding my green card and applying for a reentry permit (Form I-131). Here s my situation: I received my green card in July 2023 and first traveled to the U.S. in September 2023. I stayed for about a month, then returned to Germany in October 2023. I went back to the U.S. in March 2024 for two weeks and then returned to Germany. I visited the U.S. again in September 2024 for another two weeks and plan to return permanently in March 2025. When I arrived in the U.S. on March 1, 2025, a CBP officer at the airport told me that I might lose my green card because of my long stays abroad. Every time I ve been questioned, I told them I was in Germany visiting my fianc e which is true but I was also there to complete my master s degree (which I will finish in May 2025). Now that I m in the U.S., I want to apply for a reentry permit to protect my green card while I complete my studies. My main concern is how to present my reason in a way that increases my chances of approval. Would listing my master s degree as the primary reason for my absences be a strong argument? Should I include other details, like my job search in the U.S.? Also, what documents should I submit to prove my intent to maintain U.S. residency? I d really appreciate any advice or experiences from anyone who has been in a similar situation. Thanks in advance!

Hello! My fianc and I just got married and we are now completing the AOS part of the visa (quite more stressful than I would have imagined), and I am running into a pretty complicated situation with the I-864. I have just finished my Masters and I am starting my first job next week. According to the I-864 and a lawyer on JustAnswer, I have to complete the I-864 as the petitioner despite not having any previously filed tax returns, W2S, pay stubs, etc. However, I am aware that my father can file a I-864A (joint sponsor) and provide his income. I am nervous about this process but I am hoping I am not the only one who has been in this situation. I would appreciate if anyone has any insight or has been through this situation. (BTW my father does meet the income requirements so it is not that I am scared we will be denied because of that, I am just worried I will be denied for not having been employed).

What s the process of going from an Australian E-3 visa to an EB green card, considering the E-3 isn t dual intent? What does the typical path look like for Aussies (excluding DV lottery)?
